Yeah I am thinking that I have timed my entry wrong. Down trend seems to be continuing. I didn't expect us to create a new low today. Something is odd here, share price dropping each day when buys outnumber sells.

I added my final lot not too long ago at 19.88p. No doubt it will drop another 20% now as that's what shares do once I build a position.

Who cares? We could be building turds on a stick for all I care as long as it brings revenue in. Not sure why certain posters are so keen to highlight that a barge isn't a ship. It's a great achievement for Methil regardless.

It does concern me that the share price is dropping despite all the buys, since the daily high of around 20.3p. Probably just MMs having fun. I did predict a flat day today. Probably again tomorrow as well. People want more confirmation that the bottom is in.

I predicted 20p and then a drop into the 19s, got it right and bought. You just want lower and lower prices and will never buy. If it hits 18p you'll want 16p. If it hits 16p you'll want 14p. There's always one.

I just took another tranche, I think the bottom is in. At this level the hack is more than priced in. The company has lost nearly half its value since the hack occurred.

Before that discord imploded (I hear it came back online but I didn't rejoin), the CPI chat was just constant talk about your posts on here NoFear. Quite a popular character on there during the 2023 share price decline. I suspect Eatstocks cut his losses and ran before the trading update as he probably knew where it was heading.

The amount of time we'll be hiring this tug for over rhe life of the Cory contract I can see why JW wants to have our own electric tug going forward. Hopefully more barges aren't far behind these two.

Indeed that was a good response from Helen. As I've said elsewhere today in this market any company posting a loss is getting hammered, creating good opportunities for people. It will bounce but it still looks years away before people see those dreamy 50p+ figures they were talking about last year.

NoFear, I think tomorrow will be mostly flat around this level. You won't be the only one waiting to see if the bottom is in. Would like to take some more myself if I can find some cash. I see very little downside risk from here. Certainly more upside than downside.

Use any word the admins don't like (gets replaced with ****) and your post will be chewed up and spat out without any capital letters.

Being oversold can be a catalyst for short term gains. Lots of people clearly sold to get down here, they may be looking to get back in cheaper. As I say, I think CPI will be stuck in a trading range until next year. If it holds around 19.5-20p for the next few days then it will probably confirm this is the bottom unless further bad news arrives.

NoFear, it actually dropped from 13p to 10p on release of results that showed a 70m loss and then drifted into the 8s following. Was horrendous as a large holder. It's a bit like CPI dropping from 26p to 22p and drifting into the 19s. Eventually sentiment changes and the bounce happens. I suspect this will be closer to 25p than 20p within a month and I'll be taking my profits. That's the plan anyway! Still see 30p here as a long hold into next year so not worth it as a sell at 25p can likely be bought back below 22p before then. You know how it moved last year, it will do the same again.

I don't think he has a new position, it's just that he is late sharing it on LinkedIn. I wouldn't bother at that point!

To be fair NoFear I haven't been dreaming of 20p here for months because I've had no cash to put in due to being overweight and underwater elsewhere, but I keep adding funds to my account every month or two so starting to look at other shares. CPI has always remained on my watch list.

I like how you actually get a response from IR. When HARL released awful financial figures at the end of June I emailed IR there twice and got no response. Time will tell if CPI really do care about their investors or if they're just saying positive messages because that's what you want to hear. All it took for HARL to bounce back from the hammering it took was a positive webinar and a letter of intent for a juicy contract. CPI needs to show it can deliver growth and generate profits. That's what people buy into. Anything making a loss gets hammered in this market. Provides good buying opportunities though, if you don't expect it to be repeated. I seem to have jumped in a bit too soon however as it's heading back to test the daily low.

Going back on my previous post, just shoved a couple of grand in at 20p. Hopefully my timing isn't poor but it does appear to be bottoming around this level. Would like to add more but I'm reluctant to sell anything to add, and it's best to add in tranches anyway.

I can't see it going below 19 unless further negative news, but I'm not buying yet.

The google chart following the initial drop on Friday is almost a straight line downwards. No sign of changing. I'm no chartist and usually see it all as BS but in this case it is telling. Clearly IIs offloading in the background at a constant rate. It will bounce, shares that drop a lot always do, but from where? The further it falls the harder it will bounce, but I rather jump in close to the bottom.

45p to 19p in 5 months is quite impressive for a FTSE 250 company. Behaving like an AIM stock. Question everyone is wondering is where is the bottom?

The risk of savings accounts is that your money is worth less at the end of it than when you started due to inflation. But that generally happens in the markets anyway unless you're a good trader. Still, if you take a very low risk non-greedy approach it's not difficult to beat 5% retuens in the markets. Trouble is we're all busy chasing "baggers" that have issues to resolve and often don't turn out as expected.
