Because BB, for the millionth time, the SP is not reflective of the company.

It was great news about the US connection but it comes at a cost that as far as the market is aware Avacta cannot fund out of its current cash pile.

Ergo, the money has to come from somewhere, and until the market knows where, it will assume the worst (inasmuch as a cash raise.) and that could or would likely affect the SP and put pressure on it.

Most here now are in for the long term anyway and its just going to take time for this to play out..

Thats why you never over commit. Its frustrating but thats ultimately all it is.

Really Marik and you know all this how, in relation to AVCT? Its just you , Ophidia and MM, that have the skinny on avct then?

The market has just cottoned on to our LFT test being able to detect Delta? WHAT! When exactly, did this great understanding by the market as a whole, take place? (I'd like to corelate it to the SP if thats ok with you....)

And given I don't want my speculation to be blown out of all proportion and obviously nothing i will say will move the SP anyway.

So my wild theory was that the rig/drill has been damaged in retraction and they are having trouble repairing it/ getting the parts, hence the ships toing-& froing and the continuing "2 week" extended delays with no actual reason being given.

(So both wild and boring at the same time, not an easy trick to pull off)

But SI has put paid to that, (although its still not actually a reason, other than its just stating the obvious.)
I mean, Jadestone will presumably be out of pocket on this overrun so they would not be letting this go on for no reason, and also would have planned to leave on time, and the "damage" idea was the only one I could come up with that fitted the circumstances.

What caused the overrun?

(One of the things I have learnt, is not to take at face value anything any CEO/MD says. They all big up their prospects and downplay any problems.)

I don't see any of this being ADV fault but it is their "problem because the delay then knocks on to actually selling the oil that comes out, presuming it does, 18 motnhs down the line or in fact 19 months now. (My own theory is not worth sharing as its just pure speculation, but we don't know anything other than there have been delays, for whatever reason.

Hopefully the delay will be all over in the next 2 weeks and it will have minimal impact, but the word used was "expected"

actually, NoE, I don't.

I don't bother trying to second guess the market.

If we close below 3.95 it does not mean we will fall to 3.6p for instance, it just means that we have fallen through a support which will turn into a resistance, which we could go straight through it the very next day and be back above 3.95p

What will influence me, is the action day by day, so what I think today might not be what i think tomorrow.

My take is right now, that if I want to top up I will wait and see if 3.6p does look to be on the cards and be ready for it. (But the caveat is, it will depend on the action as to how it got there).

Haz, its been known for me to go a bit left field early on in these type of situations but (without blowing my own trumpet) I am more right than wrong. But as its just guess work a lot here may (understandably) get the hump.

I agree that this delay (whatever the cause is), is nothing to do with ADV, but that's not the point. The delay is, and the cause therefore is, important.

NoE, its abit no nothing actually... WADV is in a trading range of 3.95p to 4.4p.

Clearly we are quite close to the bottom of that range and should we close below 3.95p then the next support is around 3.6/3.62

The "expected" 2 weeks to rig movement will help support the SP I imagine but this delay actually is now quite along one and it might make heavy/ overweight investors nervous and potentially de-risk to an extent, so I think there will be downward pressure.

What is a concern is that there is no reason given for the delay.

(I have my own suspicions but its not worth voicing them)

Given the difficulties with stock across the board for most if not all companies right now, I would be wary of anyone assuming its rocketing sales.

mck, I agree, but I think that there will be new before Jan because the SP is getting to a satae where the owners won't be that impressed nor will big holders.

My best guess is that I think there will be a brief update on how well trading is going, probably next week.

I tried pointing out that a cash raise would hove into view if AVCT did not have any meaningful income by the end of the year.

assuming all goes well with AVA6000 and thus far there is every indication it is, it at the very least, will support the SP (personally I would expect an increase in the SP on official "good" news). But it will be a push/pull with on the one hand people buying in on the potential returns countered by the terms of any potential cash raise.

There may be a tie up whereby the US trial is funded by a bigger player of course, and there is always the chance that LFT income will prove sufficient.

But nevertheless until extra income is allocated in whatever way, this is a relevant issue.
