I personally hope it’s a major that’s bought Cuda, I think this will fast track production and will reduce the need for Art to scratch that Pl*cing itch fetish he has. If we know the potential value of Cuda, then you would think the big boys are well aware of it and it’s surrounding area.

Please excuse the title but can somebody clear this up for me please?
8 million usd raised through issuing 30,250,000 shares at 20p. This only generates 6,050,000. What is wrong with my maths? (I’m sure I’m missing something)
Anyway, 30,250,000 shares sold at an average of 34p (current sp) produces a hefty sum of 10,285,000.
Some lovely profits if you can get it, AM and his commanding officers will all be getting a cut of this by hook or by crook, this might go some way to explain the dampened share price. Greed has taken over, yes he’s invested his 200+k but imo he’s creaming both ends.
Will he do it again, who knows? He said he wouldn’t last time then did a few days later, the dishonesty p*ssed me off something rotten, hence the cautious approach I have when it comes to AM.
If the reserves are proven then all of this won’t matter and us shareholders will finally be able to get our cut.
The whole process just makes you a tad frustrated and the need to vent a little on a LSE board!

It will be an interesting 6 months ahead, either we stay stuck in the mud/oil or we will start to see the fruits of our patience, either way, I believe there is an argument for AM to let go of one of his titles, CEO or President. Reason being, as a shareholder, I don’t think it’s too much to ask to be kept in the picture on a more regular basis, to feel like there is a real connection with the company I’ve invested in, to share the companies vision. I don’t think the current set up delivers on this front, to me, I can’t help but feel shareholders are just a vehicle for AM to meet his own objectives, it’s almost as if COPL is his own play thing (it’s my ball so I decide who plays). COPL needs a new face near the helm, someone who understands the needs of their shareholders, direct lines of communication and updates. That’s not to say there is no place for AM, of course there is, his expertise in his field is exceptional but he needs to realise this micro management approach is very small cap and not befitting a potential billion dollar company.

Any idea why this is the consensus over the pond? Doesn’t show Art in a good light no matter how you dress it up. Being honest (to quote AM), all the fundamentals here look astonishingly good but taking things at face value, my only reservation here is AM himself, I hope I’m completely wrong but he doesn’t strike me as a man who shoots with a straight arrow, I remember watching an old interview discussing Liberia, he was full of bravado and big numbers, which came to nothing. I hope he/we get the billion market cap company, it will be life changing for me as I’m sure many on here but every time there’s talk of £10+ a share, I just have to bring myself down to earth with a bit of caution, time will tell, hopefully by the end of the month!

Very long sentence alert. Given that Canadian Overseas Petroleum has a number of well respected oilers in the field, and the consensus here is that the pending CPR is a mere formality in announcing a significant find, it does pose the question, why aren’t the big oilers in Wyoming hoovering up all of our 34.5p shares at a rapid rate?

That’s a fair point longfell, I bought this on the strength of the Atomic acquisition and Nigeria. Who would have thought an announcement of a bonus billion plus barrel find would result in a stagnant sp below the pre suspension price, mind boggles, forward looking my ar*e.

Does Zak not do the Sunday roast podcast anymore? I thought it was a decent show until I realised it was just a pump and dump for Zak, Phil and Kevin, they all claim to be “investors” but they’re just ramping a stock whilst selling in the background. They have an air of arrogance about them I find.
