But Baylan waits for a response from UNESCO, or why would he have asked. You dont think is a matter for UNESCO, neither does KB, or me, or all shareholders for whom I have seen comments. That does not however change the fact that Baylan waits for their response, as far as we know.

And...thinking around the box...if our children are going to blame us for the recklessness of this investment might not the Samis children wonder why their Mum and Dad didn't see this opportunity and buy shares in Kallak for under 5p?

I certainly hope so.
They will start election canvassing this year and certainly the opposition will, as Treetop suggests, use the history to criticize the governments performance on the economy and jobs. Perhaps this is what Baylan waits for, which as I have said before, I believe to be extremely dishonourable to use these things as election tools rather than doing the best for the people when required. As selfish as us shareholders may be on this subject, the reality is the economic benefit to the county of Norrbotten, and not forgetting the 73% Swedish shareholders.

Yes I completely understand this as the mine is significantly outside of the world heritage site, however, despite the fact that we (shareholders) and KB say this, it seems that Baylan IS relying on their feedback as a weapon to respond to critics with.
So we wait on Baylan, but Baylan waits on UNESCO, therefore we wont progress before the UNESCO response regardless of the value we put in that response.

This is the vague bit I think. If UNESCO come back with anything other than "This doesnt impact Laponia" then Baylan doesnt have his protection from the greens and this will be further protracted whilst Baylan looks for another shelter to hide under.

As people have said before, this is just about government saving face with Sami and greens by getting UNESCO to say it doesn't affect Laponia. But of course the time is worrying. You would think the govt wants the properity for the region, and giving this to somebody else after BEM having been awarded licenses and doing the work is beyond daft. BEM would eat the govt lunch in court surely.

Fingers crossed. Hopefully he will tell us the outcome.
