Well we know they can’t import csv data into a simple excel spreadsheet correctly....so when I heard that it doesn’t suggest they have total control over the earlier stats ;-)
*employer...apols
@holla - what I think is interesting is that in order for the statistics to continue to make sense to people they need to correlate to individuals personal experience. I work for a banking arm of a big employee...+400k staff.....not a single death has been published. These things are heavily publicised internally in normal course of events...how on earth has covid not triggered a death...I’m not saying it’s a conspiracy as such, but something stinks....
Personally I think governments are going to struggle to hold the line from here on. They’ve lost support which was always going to happen. And it’s not just the public. Business leaders, their own MPs, a burgeoning volume of doctors and scientists. It is going to get increasingly difficult to continue with the whole lockdown approach. You need at least a modicum of consensus and that is collapsing.
@Elkarter
- Yes there is certainly after hours trading happening. but not particularly available to us lot ;-) I understand they use pricing from futures/alternative indices that are actively trading elsewhere as a guide.
- I did say “disclosed after hours”...
Anyway not nitpicking but it would be a bit misleading to think there is no after-hours trading.
that the 330k share purchase, disclosed after hours, was not me....:-)
FTSE 250 really pressing on. Know it has a lot of lost ground to cover but encouraging!
Interesting. I was targeting 225 by the end of next year and that now looks a bit of a low target. Always time for things to wobble though as ever :-)
Not sure if talking at cross purposes. I did highlight that for NEX, their October trading update was removed from their financial calendar a few weeks ago. I then got grouchy as though they should have made that clear (assuming it’s not coming) in their non-diarised RNS.
If can be bothered. Can I ask how many on here have a target hold 250 or above? Appreciating obvs intentions change. A like if Intend to hold. I’m curious....
I can only assume that some believe NEX would burn through their available sources of funding quicker, and that the talk of guaranteed contract revenue was somehow smoke and mirrors. The restatement of the facts in the recent RNS seems to have restored confidence.
Someone coached you well. Nah let’s leave it. This could get worse....
And I must confess I thought you were wrong haha! But fair play you did call it ;-) If you can cast that spell for the next 10 days please I’ll buy you a dairy milk.
hold on like Wilson Phillips...let’s see ;-)
Against the “law of NEX” I know but quick q on GOG if I may.... haven’t had time to look at them in detail but two v quick questions before dig further for those here already invested.
1) Is there a prevailing view they have a reasonably high vulnerability to drops in commuting?
2) Their operating expenses, that seem difficult to mitigate (now that there is less government support) such as salaries, fixed overheads etc seemed high to their available funding. Anyone have a view on that and the associated viability risks?
If you want to ignore because I can only chat NEX feel free ;-)
Thanks!
It would be a brave man to put a significant sum in there....that’s me out ;-)
Haha. He only appears when the price is dropping. He is like that horror doll “Anabelle” emerging from his glass case at the hint of any depression in the room ;-)
will US investors get bored of driving the price up in the afternoon only for the Brits to drive it back down again in the morning hahaha! It’s like a metaphor for our competing cultures...Bouncy and over-optimistic vs Cynical and pessimistic ;-)
@Falkland you do make me chuckle ... you are like one of those little devils whispering in the ears of hopeful investors ..: “you will lose....lose it all, don’t trust your instincts”. lol ;-)))
@Paddy - I think the best description of me is that at times I get a little greedy ;-) haha! But tbh I’m pretty content with performance here. Far less so with a lot of my pension funds which as you say have been hammered (although not wiped out thank god!). Ironically I started a pension for my 2 year old in the depths of the pandemic and that’s absolutely flying haha! You win some you lose some!
