Reason I asked about old 200p was because I sold at a loss many years ago ... just wanted to know what my situation would have been today ! I stopped following the company until I bought recently between 200-178p (average 190) The only people who became rich from the old GKP were Kozzel , his ex wife , Nadim the conservative Iraqi MP and the bond holders

Can anyone remember what 200p for gkp is in old money ? What was the share consolidation terms ? 1 new share = how many old ?

Absolutely hydro I’ll have the occasional punt on a high risk high reward co like Chariot but for my core holding cash and revenues talk! I checked VOG (very overvalued garbage) many years ago and learned about Mr Foo! He’s one of the few oil execs that make Lazza seem competent and professional! He has no qualms about squeezing SH for his own benefit! That’s where I stopped my research on VOG! The only worse guys in the oil space are Lengas and Brian Hall (Aminex)!

I Fully agree ! I’ve also invested in a few duds in my time but the things I look for now are 1) quality management team 2) cash in the bank 3) growing revenues 4) FCF and profitability 5) quality assets 6) geographical spread (if possible) 7) history of delivery on promises made 8) little or no debts . If I see the word covenants in an RNS, I immediately stop my research 9) Dividends are a nice icing on the cake (being paid to wait) I sometimes break the above rules (char is an example)

David fdo Full respect to you for researching and finding the info while others sit on their hineys and critique! I believe you will be fully vindicated at 7 am I just hope Wardle has spun a good yarn to appease the market. Hopefully luck counts is getting lubricated.

If the documents that are being banded about are even 50% true then this will get well and truly rodgered tomorrow morning if a 7am RNS isn’t issues clarifying the situation! How the board could do this is unfathomable! They need to go !

Wow !!!! There’s definitely something rotten in the state of Denmark!!! I’m gobsmacked!! The whole BOD need to go ! To invest here you need 4 things 1) A law degree 2) Fluency in the Spanish language 3) A thorough understanding of the geopolitical situation in Bogota 4) Very Very very deep pockets to average down every day like Opulenta does! I have none of the above at the moment so I’ll hold off thanks !!!

Yes BREXIT is certainly causing carnage in my portfolio! Market also seems to hate techies at the moment. I had a decent decent holdings in PRSM, ACSO KWS and FB all have been reduced or sold significantly. Sitting on a decent amount of cash ATM! I like to spread the risk and usually have more than 10 shares in the portfolio at anyone time. I have a couple of pharmaceuticals that Theresa May’s Brexit has also bent over !

Always feel about weary about newbies given the number of name change reincarnations we have witnessed with some posters on this BB over the past few years! You Could be right Gooner but my guess is that this will do nothing until early 2020! Have a small token holding just in case Lazza pulls a rabbit out of a hat (which is unlikely judging by previous experience)! There are far better oilies to lump big money on in the meantime RRE are about to purchase 20% of their own shares on Thursday. PE of 1 and huge FCF/ year OPHR , FPM, SOCO , CNE , TXP, GKP, GENL and TRIN all producing oil profitably, making money and increasing reserves ! I can understand a £1000-3000 punt in char but Why anyone would lock big money in Chariot right now is beyond me !

Adrian 1) the shares didn’t fall due to dillution they fell because management failed to farm out, killed sentiment and then drilled a duster. 2) you were very rude to Gooner and I thought that was uncalled for 3) I hope you are a patient investor with a long term horizon because Chariot have already told us that they are back to fast following ! If you want to sell before 2020 you’re in for a treat ! Good luck

Mannnn The first paragraph (in quotation marks) was posted by Adrian The second and third was me asking for clarification Adrian jumped down the throat of Gooner who has been a long standing shareholder and has forgotten more about Chariot than Adrian than ever learned! Adrian then claimed to do a lot of research and noted that this was undervalued having fallen from 2300p to 2.5p ! I hope that clears it up

This new Adrian character who by his own words “does a lot of research on every share he buys” thought that this company was trading at £23 (valued at £8.4 billion ) and now it is at 2.5p (valued at £9 million)! He bought on the basis of the above ?!

Hi MB60 I learned a while back not to fight against the market! Specially when in profit ! This share seemed unbeatable a while back and I was silly enough to belive it couldn’t fall below the 1400 placement price so I removed my trailing stop loss! The facts are that this is a well run company with good prospects however it does have a high market cap with a huge PE ratio . The shorts are increasing and I believe we also have a large institutional seller. Remember some of them bought in at 200-300p! Good luck all

Seadoc Well done on getting in at 50p ! Hopefully you’ve made a fortune out of this and sold a large chunk at a high price. I fully agree with you ! A new low has been hit today and looks set to continue! Like you, I’ll consider buying in around 750p or lower if it gets there. If not , good luck to those who hold! The market cap and PE ratio are still fairly rich ! GLA

We live in a different world to 2014! I’d bite someone’s hand off for 90p+ ! It’s almost 160% profit We might be unlucky and someone might come in with an opportunistic bid in the 55-65p range which a lot of holders bought at and some would accept.

Roth Yes I noticed them also. My first instinct was that it is probably Sailing stone drip feeding the market. Sailing stone still hold somewhere around 20 million shares (based on their last TR notification) Or The capital group who hold a large chunk also but have been reducing If it is the capital group we may get a notification RNS on Monday GLA Sailing stone hold below the 3% threshold so are no longer required to inform the market when the dispose!

BF That’s my understanding also! I think Amerisur would gain a lot of respect and appreciation from shareholders if they were more open and forthcoming with information. Keeping shareholders in the dark isn’t endearing them to anyone ! GLA
