I must admit as I was reading the RNS I found myself in the "not good news" camp. I always thought at this stage in the company's development the BioMSAR was an unnecessary distraction. Now might end up the fuel everyone wants!

However there is a problem with that of course and glycerin is likely to become a valuable commodity rather than a near worthless byproduct. On first reading I also felt MSAR is dead but remembered back to the zoom meeting featuring bigwigs from a range of big shipping companies. The future is going to require a range of different solutions, no doubt at different prices and MSAR could well fit in this range.

Go to any Shell forecourt now and you have the choice of standard fuel, or pay a premium for V-Power alternative. Something similar could develop in our offering. The choice will be for the end user, MSAR to improve their carbon footprint, or BioMSAR to improve it further, but at say $10/barrel premium.

With glycerine supply likely to be restricted for many years to come, the case for MSAR remains strong. A company like MSC might choose to use MSAR for their industrial fleet, while using the more expensive BioMSAR for the cruising fleet, to ease passenger's concerns over the carbon footprint of their "world cruise".

It will be interesting to hear what they say at the investor meet discussion?????

I expect to read some sort of communication from QFI today or by end next week to update progress on current projects at half year stage.

Perhaps I should have added, I have experienced this myself. Say I wanted to buy 500,000 and the offer price is 4.25p, however, I can buy 250,000 at 4.12p and 250,000 at 4.14p within a minute of each other. It costs me the extra dealing charge but is worth doing to effectively save £600.

Not necessarily a rollover, could be someone wanting to buy 600,000 but quoted a silly price. Buying 300,000 offered a better price but the second 300,000 saw a significant uplift in offer price

The takeaway for me from a cursory look at the programme, was 1.000.000 barrels/day expected to last 200 years!!!!

Even if the Utah sands are only a fraction of the size, the opportunity remains huge.

Petroteq's potential value has very little to do with QFI or MSAR and they were looking to to buy 200 million shares for around 4x the current price. End users of the Petroteq system may well want to work with QFI to enhance their end product offering, but that will not affect PQE's income as they licence the use of the technology for an up-front fee, with possible ongoing royalties.

The proposed move to approach US/Canadian shareholders suggests they are serious players and their regulatory requirements may force them to offer the same for all shareholders. Looking forward to seeing where this goes....

Interesting post on Tomce re. "hostile" bid for Petroteq shares being redirected toward US/Canada.

Greenfield (Tomco/Valkor) is a joint venture with Valkor providing the engineering know how and experience, while Tomco have vast areas of land licenced for mining. The original site is Petroteq's but they are now trucking in and processing oil sands from a Tomco owned site, proposed for the 5,000 bpd plant for Greenfield.

As the feedstock is Greenfields, the oil and sand will be there's although Petroteq will no doubt receive a royalty for the technology and possibly further payment for using their plant. Obviously it's in all three's interest to make this work so they can all profit from the various future projects.

I was beginning to think markets were closed BP.

Maybe they're all in a conference call deciding on their relative slices of the pie?

Could be a difference of opinion as the the value of the MSAR process to the overall project, hence lack of news on samples dispatch????

Spookily quiet today with QFI, TOM and PQE prices basically motionless. Very unusual, is this the calm before the storm???

It would appear MSAR remains very much part of the plans???

That's kind of my point, their "advertised" bid is misleading and doing a dummy trade will show you the bid is actually higher. So, why, when they know the bid is actually higher, do they "advertise" the lower price?

No trades below 4.10p since 8.35 this morning yet the bid price is listed as 4.06p.

Looks like we're back to the "false bid/increased spread" scare tactics of the MMs, trying to unnerve investors.

I don't plan to sell TOM or PQE currently, unless the "hostile takeover" of PQE is debunked.

As with most commodities there are transport, storage, supply costs involved. The oil prices quoted are not the end user prices, they are bulk buyers and traders prices. Cost to consumer will depend on a number of factors including scale, size of contract etc.

When you see the price of orange juice, it is a million miles away from what you pay at Tesco for a carton!!!
