Wow! Petroteq now up around 380% since Monday. If the rumoured "unsolicited" bid for 200m shares is fake, there's a lot of people being taken for a ride on it.

Taken from post on Tomco. I note it mentions the residual sand retains around 2% oil/bitumen content. I expected it cleaner than that?? I know there will be significant variations from site to site and even withing truckload but does anyone recollect a mention of the %age oil in the sand before processing?

There's always the possibility a little leftover oil could be beneficial as a lubricant if being used for fracking but I really haven't a clue....

Tomco up 20% today and Petroteq a further 12%+ rise in Frankfurt.

Yes some positive vibes on the Utah project. Strange that both Petroteq and Tomco have recovered, (and some) since the cessation order but Quadrise, for whom the project is less crucial still remains down.

Look forward to some positive news in Morocco and on MSC trial in the coming weeks...

Petroteq SP jumped a fair chunk today again. Nice to see and as a holder, I hope the recent hostile takeover speculation is true. I believe this is good news for Tomco/QFI as well, as it suggests the CORT technology works and could be a moneyspinner. Why else would anyone buy Petroteq????

Get what you're saying Indigo but if there is a genuinely interested party looking to purchase 200m PQE shares, this would be around 43% of the company and there may be rules, similar to ours, (>30%) compelling them to make the same offer to all shareholders.

Or, it could be a load of you know what....

PQE up to a bid of around 5p, however the alleged "offer" is for around 8x this figure so could be plenty of upside to come????

It would appear the "confidence" and "belief" in this share is waning fast among the recent on-boarders. The roller coaster ride continues....

Sounds to me like they're saying "if you want to gamble on the veracity of the rumoured offer you can pay us a premium to do so but we're not giving existing investors any more for their shares in case it's a hoax/con"

Yes, if the share price stays put. Will have hit my 50% rise per quarter target and I'll look forward to 7-8p by end of September.

I continue to expect more news on projects development in Q3 than Q2 anyway.

I'd agree Indigo, does sound a bit off and I will not be buying any more on this info, however it will be interesting to see if it has any effect on the share price, probably when US market opens as apparently Canadian market, (where I bought) is closed for holiday.

The uplift in Tomco, without an apparent resolution to the cessation order might indicate a Petroteq uplift too. we shall see......

If It's a con, it appears a very elaborate one. Be interesting to see what happens to the Petroteq SP when markets open???

Allegedly offering 0.48 Euro for "first" 200 million shares to come forward, (currently priced at 2.93p). Looks like a hoax to me but if true, could be a big endorsement of the technology??

Are we about to bounce again? I have tried several dummy 100,000 sell trades, all available at around the 4.75p mark. 4.53p looks a false bid price to me, typical of the extended spread tactics of MMs
