Edgar222 - my guess is that they won't be able to flow any gas until the pipelines are open again after the "approx" 4 week shutdown and reinstatement work, so personally not expecting any news until 1st or 2nd week of December.

As I've queried before without reply, surely nothing can really happen with regards to flow from fraccing until the pipeline is up and running again after shutdown is over as nowhere for the gas to go ? So next RNS likely to be when pipeline is operational again.

Sounds like a good appointment with plenty of solid relevant experience that should bring benefit to SAV in progressing in the right way and being a Portuguese native should help the cause. A meaningful share purchase by him might help kick-start his positive effect !

Doubt SAV will spend cash to get a long-term DA replacement until EIA is sorted at least, as without approval we're a dead duck anyway so why waste the money getting someone in at this stage? Makes more sense to do it when there is approval in place for that person to plan and work towards en route to mining getting underway and Li out of the ground.

Gas prices currently low as European storage is 94% full and UK is 100% full, plus Sunak is about to sign deal with US for LNG so until we get cold spells to use up stored gas then price likely to stay relatively low. Desperately need Southwark to get flowing by mid Dec as planned and all other problems ironed out to maximise other flows as much as possible, and A1 to get flowing too ASAP in early 2023. Then we can at least gain max benefit from future gas price increases instead of largely missing out due to 2022 mishaps. Everything crossed for our luck to change and new management to improve performance for us PI's.

IMHO the Portuguese Govt just need to grow a pair pronto and push the approval through to kick-start MdB and get their country at the very forefront of the European Lithium industry and thereby benefit the global environment, rather than be delayed further or entirely blocked by a relative handful of objectors. Surely the Portuguese Govt just need to compensate adequately those whose lives and livelihoods are genuinely impacted negatively by MdB, as the financial benefits from MdB will surely hugely outweigh the compensation required.

The sp is sliding away gradually. LTH and still holding on in hope that any positive news will result in a big upsurge and getting hold of shares in significant quantities quickly enough on positive news would be difficult and relatively expensive. Surely if MdB gets approvals it needs then this sp will rise by several multiples quite quickly as Li is desperately needed in EU and prices are so high due to such demand. Nervous holding and seeing investment value dwindling away, but too scared to sell and risk missing out on the upsurge if/when positive news comes through.

Can it be fracced when there is no active connected pipeline due to the 4 week shutdown??? I would have thought fraccing would need the pipeline open again so that the released gas is captured?

Kessla - Windfall taxes will come from profits already made, and still plenty more to be had even after 30% drop in prices if it happens.

Scored - where you getting that info from about only 9 days supply in storage and what exactly classes as emergency ? Storage is apparently full so must have always been the case before high gas prices?

Deltalo- unable to copy article but it was in Telegraph so hoogle it to see headline of article. 30% drop based on milder winter and storage at good capacity due to LPG supplements so shortagesmuch less likely now. That is their view anyway ! Who knows what will actually happen....if di**head Putin pushes the button then we're all f***ed anyway.

SpArmada - try reading posts properly before you comment. I was commenting what was reported in the news today (Telegraph) and not making any claim myself, so try informing yourself first by following the news hey ?!

So news reports indicate that the ship has sailed for this year regarding high wholesale gas prices and is set to fall a further 30%, only rising again next summer ahead of storage requirements for winter 23/24. So IOG have really missed out through all the problems encountered and income likely to be much lower than it should have been which is massively disappointing and potentially damaging for financing issues looking ahead.

Likely to stay quiet until December now I guess as pipeline shutdown for around 4 weeks they said and will then take a bit of time to get going again I'm sure, hopefully without hiccups, and then fracking of Southwark to get gas flowing to hit Q4 target ? It remains to be seen if new board give progress updates in run up to that time (good or bad) or if they carry on as before and won't hear anything until A2 well is flowing it's first gas ?

The lack of TR1 is dumbfounded, as it seems impossible given the volumes sold off and the relatively small PI holding overall that the large holders have not crossed reportable boundaries. Is it just typical ignorance of market rules to suit their own purposes?
