MM's surely taking the p*** here as dropping price in chunks on small volumes

Price is good news, if we can get the wells to flow !

Anybody such as SailorNL got any vessel info or activity news around the wells, particularly Southwark?

Surely the drop is due to nervous holders selling and MM's getting hold of cheap stock rather than negative news leaking or else surely the trade volumes would be far higher than being seen ? So frustrating to see sp drop under 15 today and can only hope that IOG issue the positive RNS next week announcing first gas that we all want and need.

Only hedged less than 15% average production.
A2 will hopefully roughly double current production if it flows at last expected rate announced. That would be great news if they can achieve that. The longer the next RNS takes then the lower the sp is likely to drop as more and more nervous holders get out, but if news is good then a mad rush to get back in should see sp fly into the 20's surely. If negative news then its anyone's guess how low into single figures we will fall.
Come on IOG new management team, don't let us down pleeeeeease. It is vital that this 1st RNS of 2023 is good to get the confidence back and momentum back into the sp ahead of lots of potentially positive newsflow this year.

It also wouldn't surprise me if an offtake agreement is announced simultaneously with approval news as I am sure there must be companies wanting the spodumene as soon as approval is given. Such a dual announcement would surely see SAV multi-bag instantly.

We don't actually have dates as such, only windows of maximum time. There is the safety buffer that it's likely to be announced when SAV submit the amended EIA so then the ten week clock starts ticking (50 business days) and theoretically the decision could come at any time in that window, but everyone just assumes that Portuguese officials will take the full time more or less, but they may surprise as they've worked closely with SAV so it might be a quick box-ticking exercise and could be finalised within a couple of weeks after submission. So I guess the sp will begin to move significantly once the submission news hits down as nobody will want to miss being invested when/if approval is announced, as it is likely to jump big time instantly then....fingers crossed !

Pipedragger - I can't imagine IOG would leave it beyond mid Jan for next RNS after RN stated first gas from A2 well would be around mid Jan. His credibility would be in tatters already if he didn't update the market at that time, so if nog before then Monday 16th probably but Friday 20th at absolute latest is my guess.
I'm hoping the selling is just short term profiteering by those that bought sub current sp and nervous that original pre Xmas dates have been delayed, but all us LTH here know the IOG form and 2 or 3 weeks is not a major delay !

If no prior news then I'll be very nervous come Friday 13th Jan......!

Last figure I recall is approx 20mmsfcd and A1 to be similar so about 40 for Southwark in total.

As they've updated to say fraccing finished by end of this week and the pipe-laying vessel has arrived then surely everything must be on track and in good order at this stage for first gas by mid Jan as stated. GGIS et al with apparent working knowledge of such processes seem to have disappeared from here, so not sure if sold out or just staying quiet, but would welcome any technical comments regarding this stage with fraccing, connection, timescales, etc.

Well I know there's plenty of time yet for it to happen before news mid-Jan but the sp held up way better today than I'd feared at 7am this morning, as often on AIM the reaction to news can be savage if it fails to give people multi-bag returns instantly ! Thank the Lord for a common sense reaction for once, and keep our fingers tightly crossed for a very prosperous 2023 !

Got to give the new team a chance as they don't have a magic wand ! It takes time and efforts to try to resolve the issues and some will take more than one attempt to sort out as the underlying causes are still present. Measure the new team on new projects and give them reasonable time to resolve the issues. An encouraging and refreshing comment was about third parties having to improve as they have clearly let IOG down to date and great to hear pressure being applied to them to sort their side out. If H2 drill works well and improves Blythe production then new team will have shown their worth and gained a big feather in their cap I think, and another big one if they get A1 flowing early Q2.

Bit of a mixed bag really. Think we all knew really that A2 was going to be first gas in January, and I thought that reinstated Wells at Blythe and Elgood would be at lower end of expected flows as all problems not going to have simply vanished. The H2 well at Blythe is great news to improve production and reduce/remove issues with Blythe flow. So, sp likely to take a beating now from short-termers/traders but as an investment IOG is still strong and 2023 likely to see good sp rise from this level IMHO.

Alligator- not that hard to think that some that bought around 11p or less a few weeks back have cashed in profit rather than risk losing it if bad news on A2 well, and others investing now who think it's worth the risk as could double and more from here if Southwark gflows well and overall production figs are strong.

Hate to be negative but not a great video IMHO. Dale reading autocue in a parrot fashion and clearly not a comfortable speaker under those conditions was not a good idea. Why use image of a large corporate office when making the comment that SAV are not a large corporation, so should have used real photo of the real office or not put such image in at all if the real office is a dump. Why show images of large oil well pump and forest fire ? They are such negative images to put in viewers' minds when they recall the video. This smacks of something hurriedly put together as a last minute thought to try to help but I fear it could do the opposite as it does not strike me as very professional or convincing. Leaving on a more positive note, there were some good bits of info like the 85% of water to be recycled and 12.5% of EV vehicle batteries in EU can be supplied from MdB lithium.

I posted my previous comment before reading the article and now see that the massive subsidies on offer in US probably outweigh the shipment costs of batteries to Europe. But it would mean that the US would effectively control European EV manufacture and so at any time could impose measures to prevent EU cars being competitively priced, so would EU want to risk another Russia gas supply type issue with EVs in future ? Let's all hope not and that sense prevails with the right decisions being made without bureaucratic and effectively suicidal delays.

Surely that won't help EU car manufacturers though as transporting bulky heave batteries from USA to Europe would add significant and possibly prohibitive cost compared to European made batteries?

So disappointing to see this slide of sp prior to Southwark news. Clearly shows lack of faith in IOG as a legacy of previous poor management, performance and communication. New board desperately need Southwark to hit the spot with no issues and A1 well likewise in early months of 2023, or the sp is going to be hit heavily.
