Big Orange XVIII has been back to port a few times since the fraccing began so it is nothing out of the ordinary, but for some reason some thought that this time meant it was completed.
Hoping still for someone to confirm if vessel needs to be present when gas first flows or not. I would think so as it is the fraccing that will release the gas surely ?

Dropping on small volumes so being played with for some reason.....or bad news leaking out but I would have expected much bigger volumes if that was the case.

Sincerely hope it's not this bulldust that has caused this sp dip today.

I reckon it's either total rubbish (deramp) or maybe an old Investec target from when sp was low around 10p and now amended to hold but not revised target sp yet until Southwark RNS is issued.

Not an expert but I would have thought that the frac vessel needs to be actively fraccing when the first gas is released and able to flow into the pipeline ? Maybe others with such knowledge and experience can confirm or deny this ? The original estimate for first gas was around mid Dec so I'd say that's anytime until 20th, and RN update said around end of year so only a couple of weeks later than original plan, and that might just be to allow for production rate to be established prior to issuing RNS ? As long as it is successful then I don't care when they announce first gas, and can then move on to A1 well to get that flowing too as soon as they can in 2023, hopefully by end of Q1 but probably Q2 in all likelihood.

Big Orange XVIII due back at Southwark 8pm tonight so fraccing not completed as some had assumed.

Anybody else seen this 20p Investec price target rating anywhere? Seems nonsensical given the forthcoming events in the pipeline, and if news had leaked about issues found to affect such events then surely the new board would have issued fficial news to declare and the target would be lower than current levels around 19p rather than higher at 20p?!

RonnieH - where did you see the Investec rating re IOG please ?

Selling into A2 news would be short sighted as A1 to follow and then accelerated production from next well in 2023 mentioned in the interview and licensing bid on Jan 12th so should be plenty of good news coming, fingers crossed !

Never mind Boro, SAV will be European champions soon enough as long as the Portuguese officials do their jobs properly and make the right decisions !

Finally got around to watching this interview and it is excellent from RN, giving a very good overview of current situation and route forward. I think we are in good hands with him at the helm and Doogie as COO. Now we just need a good RNS soon to announce successful first gas at Southwark A2 well and good production figures update for Blythe and Elgood following reinstatement.

Production to double approx if/when both A1 and A2 are flowing, and assuming Blythe and Elgood (B&E) both back on decent flow rates by then too, although end of life will be approaching for Elgood by then so a reduction will follow soon after it seems. Fingers crossed all goes well with Southwark and reinstatement of B & E to hopefully boost sp significantly upward for early 2023.

So when is this interview likely to be available to view ?

This article shows why Portugal needs to ensure that MdB is pushed through ASAP by APA in order to take full advantage of the opportunity they have to be at the forefront of a modern industry such as EV supply chain. If they let it slide by due to protestations from a relative handful of old timers and eco warriors then they will remain the beggars of Europe for centuries to come.

Deniscaff - I agree it is the Chief Exec that tends to be hands on and the chair not really involved in the day to day running of the company. Hence it was CEO that went, not the chair. Not to say she won't follow if poor news continues to dog IOG.

On the flip side however, and God forbid please, but further bad news relating to operational problems would surely have to be the end for her !

I know that she has overseen issues and is lucky to still be in situ but not sure that now is the time to start chopping heads and publicising poor performance when we need to attract investors whilst we're on an up period of good news with more to follow very soon hopefully.

It is truly amazing that EVs are selling so well given that there must be thousands of them clogging up the roads having run out of juice in all the multi-hour walking pace traffic jams ?! Obviously the corrupt govts and other "powers that be" are preventing such a widespread issue being reported in case it damages the EV industry.
