Drawing from a SIPP are taxable neway, id rather pay 10/20% CGT this year on the lot, vs Income tax over future years on SIPP drawdown anyday.

Yes but these folk below indicate that Russian shares carnt be held in a SIPP, therefore when your EUA shares magically turn into Russian NN shares they fall out of the SIPP into a trading account. Breaking all age related rules.

Hang on just think this through.

Investments in a SIPP = not aloud to withdraw until (say 67).

but if they gave us NN shares = moves investment to a S&S account = instant access.

Im sure the Gov.t would be interested in all these folks getting there pensions early due to share swap for Russian shares.

Also £1mill limit on a SIPP before 55% tax kicks in - lets say you get access to the cash this year + the SIPP rules still apply (except the age withdrawal see above) the tax bill would be staggeringly high.

This seems wrong on so many levels.

Id prefer a little realism - this stock goes nowhere till some results RNS's land on the table, last month there was a definate pump & dump, with those caught out on the spike now slowly exiting, alongside the new issuances (& hopefully they arent using this bb to pump the SP before they dump)

Ie - its limbo time & hopefully doesn't test new lows before decent news arrives...

LOL - they carn't move anything out of your SIPP to a S&S acc, it would brake all Pension rules.

I believe the subject came up only the other month (I thought others would absorb information , clearly not) if shares are involved in the deal, HL will sell the shares immediatly in both SIPP & ISA & leave cash in SIPP & ISA.

S&S would receive the NN shares as normal.
