Odd my initial reaction after reading RNS was topup time.

Tempted to dump these chumps after EUA, they still show EUA at 37.5p buy, im tired of test buying/selling.

Procedural

All tax losses incurred in the year of the gain can be offset ofc.

We are talking about offsetting prior year losses on current year gains with the 5 years timeframe.

ONLY if they have been reported on a tax return - otherwise no cigar.

Incidentally all my others are already in an ISA, SIPP (Wife LISA), so its only the Trading account overspill to sort out.

Its fine to be clever in advance, gift shares to your partner (in my case I opened a joint account & transferred all my Trading account shares into it) - when I then sell them, ill get 2x Allowances, + my wife isnt earning atm so she can utilise £50,000 profits at the lower 10% rate.

Sadly she will need tax returns doing as well (but imo a small price to pay)

If you dont declare it & they find it (they communicate with banks & brokers) you get fined & pay the tax + interest.

You need to generate a Self assessment tax return (get an Accountant to fill it in - give them all the info & its just a form filling exercise)
You can on 1st registering as needing to do a tax return go back 5 yrs (& make a tax return for each of those backdated years) to claim loss relief on your current year gain.
Only losses filed on a tax return can be used on your gain (ie those last 5 yrs)

Im not necessarily knocking OMI (or UFO for that matter) just the obnoxious use of BB's by some.

If we are off topic, do check out ARB (blockchain) it does seem undervalued atm (re Brits hate Bitcoin most prolly) but its nice to have exposure to Bitcoin's rise in a SIPP (& this appears a viable method) if you like the investment case of Bitcoin that is (& tbh id rather that than Airlines atm)

Please calm the f*** down, we had a great day yesturday, thanks to the instituions - who in late hours showed plenty of appetite for buying above our current SP & followed that up by putting a floor in the SP this morning, hoovering all cheap stock up.

Lets just let it ride - most are hear for endgame now & the trader types can just crak on with their thing (& pls leave this forum alone traders)

As for the squabbles & one upmanship - just bear in mind you all look like tools in-fighting & the BB could do very well in this positive climate for our share, if you would all pack it in.
