I was talking about this the other day. This year will be the year of undervalued stocks with current real earnings and dividends and it’s nothing to do with covid. It’s to do with government policy around interest rates and inflation risk.

Sophisticated investors price cash flows using DCF analysis with a bigger discount during high interest/inflation environments on profits expected way in the future than those with real income now and in particular dividends.

One of my US growth stocks Shopify is down 10% today on the back of this.

Interestingly wife and son both confirmed negative today. Not too sure how this happened as I must have been incubating the virus for two or three days before becoming symptomatic looking at how the others got it.

Lying again Kallu - US growth for the year is positive relative to the period of the marketing spend with only the final quarter slowing down. This is also on a net not gross basis so had returns factored in.

We've got Texas coming online, Pluto IPO, bitcoin taken a dip, etc. So you think we haven't got anything positive to come this year.

The company is going to stand still and value drop to what?

Look to see what happened in twelve months last year and the opportunities it created if you bought the dips and sold the rises? It's a volatile stock and I'm certain it will remain to be so this year.

The company is getting bigger and bigger though, quarters and years, and it will flow through to shareholder value eventually.

Dan - I don’t think you can treat all consumers the same with regards to how long customers are prepared to wait.

Many companies offer delivery over a longer time period - you usually have a variety of options at the check out.

Ted Baker for example state 3-5 days but in my experience it’s nearer 5-7 days. If I buy something from an overseas company I know it’s going to take longer so plan accordingly.

Despite the longer delivery times we’ve still managed to build up a £400-£500m turnover business in the US. £100m in the last quarter sold to customers that we cannot service…

It's not like we havent got lots of positive news this year coming that drive ARB upward momentum and we all know how quickly btc gets it's skates on once there is a string of positive news.

Hi Poor - I think this is the start of something massive. I think it's a long term hold and then an add once it really starts motoring. I think a lot short term will depend on whether or not this new AAA contract is EA or not. If it isn't then it'll retrace back. If it is then I think a lot will jump on. They'll have first mover advantage in a whole new advertising category which would easily integrate into this meterverse that's being created by the likes of Facebook, Nvidia, etc.

I also remember you telling us Shien had UK distribution which was also untrue. Do Shein, a Chinese company, produce quality trustworthy financial information?

It's quite evident there are international shipping issues across all industries. Time and time again we're hearing on when earnings are releases. Even Apple are having issues with the semi conductor shortage.

So pre pandemic BH shipping was 10 days yet we have still built a £400-500m pa business.

This is how much of a hypocrite you are Kallu. So when talking about your beloved ABF it's all about the long term and you don't look at share price and short term performance, etc, etc.

BH have a bad quarter or two underpinned by short term headwinds and we're on the road to zero and you've got an itch in your pant.

Or maybe it's because they are selling a high volume of low margin products, which leaves them heavily exposed to a whole host of cost increases and little chance of increasing sales price without violating their core customer who doesn't have the ability to take the hit so easily. Then you factor in that they are doing this via bricks and mortar and wouldn't be viable as an online proposition and I'd say the market have it about right.

This is when you spend all your time here, we're a threat to Primark's very existence, returns and all.
