Forward PE looks to have dropped to around 85-90 now.

Hi Hexam - yeah it’s common in the US to report on non-IFRS measures and then reconcile them back to IFRS, just like we are now doing with our monthly updates and the gross profit - that’s purely for the US investors and what they are used to seeing I suspect. The argument being that a one size fits all IFRS approach doesn’t necessarily show the commercial performance in an appropriate light.

Depends on what access to funds/loans they have to table a bid.

Hi Hexam - last time I looked at this from a technical viewpoint the impression I got was that crypto didn’t quite fit into any of the asset buckets particularly nicely and rules are really still being established.

Someone above mentioned Nasdaq but that shouldn’t affect the way the accounting is done as the standard is IFRS regardless of the exchange. It’s the disclosure in relation to information that will be different, rather than the information itself.

It funny Dan my firm is experiencing a massive uptick in business travel. Many salesmen want to look the customer in the eye. I’d say our US travel is not far off pre pandemic. We’re planning our bi-annual conference for next year and it will be our biggest yet.

I don’t think it will come back 100% but it’s coming back for sure. The days of cutting a meeting early to do the school run are over as well.

This is the thing. While we are bickering over a couple of slow quarters a £5bn turnover business is being built in the background.

The more planes in the air the less they can charge. It’s basic supply and demand. This looks to me like they are squeezing the value of the remaining fleet with never bigger jets taking over its previous role.

Either way they are addressing a demand, which is a positive even if it doesn’t correlate specifically to more general cargo it will free up space nonetheless. A bit like folk taking the train clears up space on the motorway.

This is what I’ve been trying to tell you Dan. These Issues are short term and we are getting back to normal.

Report out today that holiday bookings are flying up, no pun intended.

I think the markets looked oversold hence the bounce back in the Nasdaq today. A lot riding on the FED this week but I don’t think this this correction is anywhere near being done.

I’ve all but stopped trying to trade and everything I’m holding is long term. A mix between growth and value to smooth out the bumps and wait for growth upside later in the year.

This is a major correction across anything that is growthy or speculative.

It’s proper bruising and the most worrying aspect it that interest rates haven’t really started going up yet.

I think there’s going to be a lot of money to be made once tech hits the bottom. The question is when. I think we’re talking months of not more towards the end of the year.

It’s weird how fortunes change. I see he1 is picking up again. Feel sorry for all the folk who have been burnt on both.

I sold out of here a couple of weeks ago as I’ve all but moved out of growth stocks.

I thought this was virtually a dead cert?

So we’re experiencing the same issues here with the other companies with trying to crack the US, customer acquisition costs are high and eating into revenue. Still the biggest growth opportunity though medium to long term.

Im still not convinced that buying all those William Hill shops is such a good move.

This is a decent entry point.

The company has been buying the shares in the open market, so no new shares are created. You can see it quite clearly in the annual reports.

Dan - this is nonsensical comparing what has been done in Japan, where we are dipping our toe in the water. The US will be done properly as we already have a]an established customer base.

You seem to have your knickers in a twist over a bad quarter or two with underlying short term issues, which virtually every other company is also facing. You keep banging on about ASOS who have massively reduced their profit guidance also.

Whether we have the NDC or not it's the test and repeat that really needs to be replicated.
