if the remaining legal pull outs are taking place in the background as we speak, there should be further news by the 25th in any case so sounds like a target date to getting this done by then.

Ameriprise took 5%+ in CNA on 20th December. i thought it was just BoA doing their daily ups and downs before so i didnt read it.

also in 2021 CNA did a trading update in mid Jan but there is no upcoming update in the 2022 financial calendar. i assume they want to downplay their results this year.

70 and 71 in the same day ! wow.

here's hoping for 72 and 73 in the next week or so.

if it stays above 192.5 this week i would be happy. i think mid January is looking promising for the big news.

seems to suggest only Paris and he Netherlands to go for case withdrawal and in their final stages. bearing in mind where in the calendar we are, i assume a January 7th ending to this saga and then the FinMin takes over. nearly there.

the only thing is we dont know which other jurisdictions they also raised a court case in. i thought Singapore was another one.

hi dharmendra, i think they have only bought over 2.2m shares back yet so the increase in the short was larger than 150k i reckon. anyway do we really care that much about the short increasing at this juncture ? the tax refund either happens or it doesn;t, that to me is the big elephant in the cyber room !

i so agree with you, i reckon this will hit 75/100p shortly as the funds from GoI will be held up by Omicron and the Bilderberg cabal and then be re-routed through Tehran and what will be left will be enough to pay for the printing of the special dividend counterfoils and postage to us lucky shareholders. in fact, i am right this moment sending a pigeon post letter to the FinMin asking her to stop the payment as the Company does not deserve it and the people of India need it more than we do. anyhoo lets see what happens and good to see you have been right on so many occassions since early December when you started posting on the site. even a broken clock is right twice a day and all that.

to all the other CNE shareholders GL and when it happens i hope the Company does the right thing and pay out most of it as a special div and forget the buyback.

in a way, i'm glad he lost 6p a share in selling when he did ! "in anticipation of the special dividend". the only reason could be he wanted to limit the income tax on the special div he would have to pay, but no offence, you get the special div, so for him possibly £ 350k and you pay the income tax from it. if the money from GoI does not come in, i will personally sue the BoD ! (fighting talk here !!!!) GL people, i hope it happens shortly and then as long as it gets to 225+, i will be out of CNE. i think i can kiss goodbye to Dec 23rd announcement !

sorry peeps was on a TEAMS call so could not respond. i think we are getting there, this side of Xmas, in between Xmas, after Xmas, as long as it is getting there and the Board are working flat out to get the funds in, that is all anyone can ask ! with an improving market sentiment, this could be good timing however INR is 100.10 this morning.

there's a post from "dharmendra" dated Thurs 1708 that is prob the best in terms of likely timescale based on process.

not being picky but why would they ? the Sp is where it is, i would have thought they would have to do anything for years based on where the Sp is and has been for the last few years.
