That's why Corbyn, as much as I liked the guy, would have been a complete disaster.

What's really hard to compute in one's head, is that nuclear capability might have to be switchable - to have scope for reaching who we once thought of as friends!! It's imperative, IMO, we regather and forge closer links with the EU - maybe rejoin!

The other lesson, which Trump is deaf to, is appeasement never ever works out in the end.
