The potential sale of ITV studios rumour has been getting put up in the media for the last 5 months but still no statement of a bid. 5 months of speculation and rumour that added 15p+ to the share price.

The truth is that whoever looks to buy the studios or merge with the studios has to take on a good percentage of the debt and finance ITV pensions way into the future. All those high rolling celebs who made a fortune when Free to Air still brought in audiences of 18 million and record advertising. Now the balance for revenue has shifted away from Free to Air to Studios but the pension liabilities as well as debt lie with the side of the business that can barely turn a profit.

Any potential buyer will be getting milked for decades by the old, non profitable side of the business.

Add to that regulators and Parliamentary approval for any owner and you just have a deal that is unpalatable for most external companies that would be interested in the studios.

Buying in the 80s and really your family need to step in and get power of Attorney because as our slow witted old codger demonstrates it is a good sign that you are possibly on the road to dementia.

Lets summarise for you:

She wiped £5billion off the valuation of ITV.

Her late arrival to streaming and botched launch saw ITV relegated from the FTSE100 to the 2nd tier.

She lied to Parliament and gave false testimony to the regulators and Parliamentary committee,

She put someone who had admitted on oath to covering up child sexual abuse back on air and told his colleagues to work with him.

She failed to invest in studios and diverted money in to loss making free to air. Only now are we seeing the trashy high budget shows axed.

She brought her cronies and their mistresses over from EasyJet despite saying she was clearing up abusive power relationships in ITV.

The only thing Dimwit McCall's performance deserves is a P45 and security walking her out the door. Biggest charlatan CEO and the share price reflects that.

She is utter scum for awarding herslef a pay rise whilst cutting jobs everywhere from ITV.

The "Real ITV Holders" tag has become like a dunces cap. Solley, Pogo and Nigeco. I would urge everyone to use this forum to buy and sell around the dips. 80p was a fantastic exit point. We have seen little new initiatives from the Board so it is fair to say that this can go back to 60s again only to return to 80s at a later date.

Please ignore the "Real Holders" who need a reality check.

Solley has been complaining about the negative posts on the forum for what feels like a decade. His endless sobbing just detracts from the free flow of information and useful discourse on here.

Solley please you are never going to get what you want. My only suggestion is that you disconnect from the internet and go live in your own gleeful bubble where ITV is a world beater and FTSE100 listed company.

No one is talking about the spring statement because ISAs were laregely left alone. OBR is predicting lower growth and increased poverty for the poorest which does not bode so well for ITV. Speculation about the studio is for the non serious investor. Every share has its mythical buyer lurking in the wings and the same group of posters who want to believe in a stroke of good luck coming to their rescue rather than applying logic and reason.

Good luck to all the speculators and get rich merchants who are cashing in their profits here right now and leaving Pogo and Solley to take the losses(paper only so not real) once again.

Yes I see people across the forums being very cynical about share buybacks. Money that could be used for dividends and special dividends is directed away and used to inflate the earnings per share and increase the bonus earnings for top management.

All my shares are up this morning. I am hovering over the sell option thinking this might be a 12 month high. ITV in 80s is way above the 12 month average.

BD I seem to remember the results in 2022 where there was unprecedented amounts of anger coming my way when the share price was still hovering around 120 after the announcement. People were calling me all kinds of names. By the end of the day the share price was in the 90s and falling fast. I called it right then and said the Dame was not reliable. She pulled ITVX out of the hat and crashed the share price for the next 3 years+
