I have never posted Motley Fool on this forum. It shows poor judgement.
Contrarian is loved on this board. A very levelled headed investor who debunks the rampers lies.
Poor guy has picked up a stalker in the same way I have 5 lunatics who follow me around
Yes Winnie. If you google Chernin and ITV it was all 12 months+ ago when the Dame made noises about selling the studios.
Best to ignore Motley Fool or at least verify their rumours elsewhere before putting them up on this board. It makes you look like an amateur.
Modern UK politics has been damaged forever by Blair. Everyone wants to make £200million once they leave office. Blair showed them how through illegal wars and Private finance initiatives you can then go onto amass obscene wealth once you leave office. Johnson made 5million in his first 6 months. Easily doubled that by now. Rishi will go after the election but probably be trade advisor to foreign governments wanting trade deals with UK. He may go on to out earn even Tony the liar Blair by lobbying and procuring trade and arms deals the world over.
I like watching mixed race all female couples in my ads. I am thinking of voting labour now their have booted the anti semites out.
I watched Rugby and football over the weekend on ITV. Lots of ads for beer and white male heterosexual stuff.
You Ironknut must be watching the shows geared towards, woke, non binary mixed raced families. Celebrity big brother?
"Trash the CEO"? Just stating the facts. The share price here is nothing to cheer. Still half of what it should be and where it would be if it were not for the bogus business woman of the year. 150 or 70. Hard to hide the fact that Carolyn has wiped billions off the valuation of ITV.
Anyway as for ITV studios. Interesting comparison is vodafone selling off their Italian operation for billions. If ITV were to offer just ITV America to the streamers they could generate billions which could then be invested into new studios or aggressively buying out smaller studios with the intention of flipping them once they achieve a greater valuation.
The future is possibly as an investment company who bring studios to maximum value and then offload for profit. Free to air advertising is dead and subscription tv might lose the ever smaller auidences who still remain.
One last thing. Where is Jed hiding?
Ah that all makes perfect sense now. I was thinking that Pogo's use of English with sentences put together that made no real sense were AI.
He is writing in his first language and then running it through a translation app.
Marginally less annoying now but still hard to comprehend. Pogo could you try writing in English but without the app? You seem to have some ability to read our posts.
Condescending and boring. I hope I never become either of these things.
The Carolyn sychophants and rampers are getting very vocal again after 6 months of lurking in the shadows. Two weeks of upward movement and they think that makes up for a dismal display over the past 6 years. Still well below the post covid high of 130. Even further below the 150 pre covid share price.
Polishing a turd.
So by that logic if I place an order for 1million shares I personally can add maybe as much as 10% to the share price value and thus boost the overall valuation of the company by £200 million.
That makes perfect sense. Pogo bot is a higher inteliigence than us real people.
Pogo how do you see the current Board achieving 120 to 150 in 2024? They have not been able to get the Share Price back to those levels for 2 years. We are still in the advertising downturn. Do you see a bid coming from somewhere? If so how does that get past Ofcom and the regulators?
Starting to revert back to business as normal. Daily losses where the Dame says and does nothing. Could be heading back to 50p early this year. Normally the downward creep starts in May but maybe Pogo buying will convince the smarter people to get out now.
It is at times like this that I miss Jed's straight talking no nonsense posts. Pogo posts cause me a major headache in trying to decipher what he is saying.
It is a game. Ex divi date is April 11th and ITV are trying to purcahse before then to reduce dividend payout. Pogo is buying this morning but removes his entry point in the repeat post.
Winnie waffles again. None of that you can back up.
Winnie please point out where you think I have lied and where I have stretched the truth. Happy to post a factual rebuttal to every point you make.
I can provide evidence. You can only try to conduct a weak smear campaign against posters who pull apart your terrible investment choices. You backed the Dame. You must feel stupid. 6 years in and there is no escaping the truth. She is a utter car crash. Biggest waste of space in the FTSE listed companies.
So you cannot answer? 0 credibility would be you? There is a trail here on this forum of everytime I have bought and sold. June to September I sold up. Back in during September at 70p and 66p before ex divi. Sat here for 6 months cursing the Dame.
Credibility on a message board? You are desperate for approval.
Winnie my trades are transparent. I sold everything last summer. Went over to Shell with the funds and bought a quarterly dividend and bought and sold 3-4 times making over 10%. I came back here in September and bought back in at 70p and then again at 66p.
I am currently on a small profit here. You on the otherhand are a long time holder. How much are you underwater and how does this affect your credibility with your partner, your children, your friends? My girlfriend is so happy to see my portfolio of shares and see the money I am sitting on. She even suggested I should invest on her behalf as she needs money outside of Russia. I am guessing your friends and family give you a wide swerve when it comes to investment advice.
If only we had a CEO who could see the value of aquiring more studios and encouraging bids for ITV. Crozier had the share price up above £2 on speculation and rumours about takeovers from big streamers. Do nothing Dame seems more interested in stayign in a job where she collects 3.5mill rather than achieving value for shareholders.
Interest rate decision seems to be dirivng up this share. people can see a brighter future for UK economy and that bodes well for ITV.
Pogo my predictions have been more right than wrong over the last 6 years. I urged caution before the results two years ago when the SP was 120. I bought back in at 56p. I said last summer that this would go to 60p before it hit 80p. Proven right but yes it is all guesswork. Impossible to know that the Dame would sell off a platform last month to fund share buyback.
I am happy to say 60p before this share hits 80p again. With the Dame there is little to drive the share price up. Too much risk associated with her. ITV is not a credible investment until we change the CEO. This is a gamblers share. Anyone who puts 90% in needs their family members to seek power of attorney.
Barking mad. The share price fell from last May. It then fell again in the autumn. Nothing suggests it will rise to £1 this year. A small glimmer of hope has come into play since the Britbox news. The Dame will continue as CEO and continue to do 1 announcement a year. The SP will fall back below 60p.
