Redbird IMI and ITV studios merger is off?6 Apr 2025 18:35
With the price of oil plummeting last week. With globalisation being pronounced dead and global markets all fearing the worst the Redbird/ Abu Dhabi investment fund is not going to get embroiled in any further business deals that could water down their potential earnings. They are going to be shelving investments that were in the pipeline and using the funds to shore up their own budgets and protect their own economies from global shocks to the oil market and stocks.
Of course McCall and Cronies will be disappointed and they might try to string out the rumours for as long as possible but this potential merger had added 8-10p to the share price since November.
Buybacks gone, Merger gone, ex divi date. Further global stock falls. Exit strategies required?
