I attended a few AGM's (not ITV) in my younger years as an employee. They were laughable. Old retirees rock up for the free food and drink. Then some of the more unhinged get to fire questions at the CEO and Board. Often the questions go off on weird tangents. Like the worst of question time on BBC.

My whatsapp group has all been IAG for the last few days. BP is now picking up some mentions as newspaper articles mention that the big oil multinationals are doing the sums for a buyout.

Sitting in ITV and doing nothing means you will never amount to anything. You will be a Pogo. One of life's losers.

You are not seeing true worth with the ITV share price until the management who took the SP from 130 to 55p with a streaming initiative that was too late to the game SLING THEIR HOOKS.

Pogo would never last in most management roles. You need to be concise and to the point. Any team meetings hosted by Pogo would see his colleagues switch off in droves. In the end only he would attend and would be talking to himself.

He could not be further from the truth! Liberty Goldman Sachs is conspiracy theory stuff. Cloak and dagger nonsense. Liberty held the 10% stake in 2022 when the share price was at 130 after recovering from Covid.

What took it down to 55p in 2022 and has stopped it returning above £1 in the last 3 years is the incompetence and sheer corruption at the top of ITV management. Cronies and their unmerited bonuses whilst reducing the staff in the production areas who can actually generate revenue.

Cull the Board. Send all the EZJ parasites packing. ITV shareholders will be paying them pensions in excess of 100k a year for decades. Far worse than the NHS pension timebomb.

Today they are lower. Yesterday they were higher..... This is as bad as when Nigeco used to give us every analyst update and present it like it was going to change the share price dramatically.

The AGM will be a snoozefest and then the Board will largely rest up over the summer having delivered results. Lygo will attend the TV festival in Edinburgh. McCall will put in an appearance at the keynote speech at the RTS in September. Big birthday party in September where Magnums of Perrier Jouet Belle Epoque will be handed out to friends and the cronies at the top whilst cutting the hourly rates for freelance staff.

The same old gits will still be filtering on here come the interim results. Still believing that £1 will happen in a matter of days.......

The BP/Shell merger/ tie up never gets boring.

The Shell forum gave it a brief mention but nobody is getting that excited. They have good results and good leadership. They hardly need to saddle themselves with BP debts, liabilities and bloated staff numbers and costs.

I recommend ignoring Pogo.

Observing the structure and volume of orders will leave you blindly believing in an upside or downside. You will be blindsided by a larger global event, an industry event, bad leadership or poor results.

I recommend that you read around. DYOR. Try to read as many varied opinions as possible and ignore the self proclaimed internet financial wizards who repeat the same message for years regardless of which way the market swings.

If other nations responded with protectionism then Netflix, Disney, Amazon, Paramount and others are royally .......

Trump has not thought this through. European nations and other world nations have probably wanted to impose restrictions on US streamers and productions entering their markets for the last two decades but that would have risked a trade wr and US receiprocal tariffs.

If anything this could boost global production firms and free to air at a time when it looked like the big US corporations were going to kill them.

It is all a nonsensical gesture. How do you determine the country of origin of films and tv? It is all multinational financing, production and then distribution. Car parts are easy to tie down. Film is out there in the cloud

Sums it up. The Dame is desperate to get a bid for part stake in the studios. Not free to Air as nobody wants to touch that with a barge pole. She needs to inject capital into the business and do something to bring the Share Price back from the dead.

22 September is ITV's birthday and the Dame would like to bow out with some kind of "legacy". In order to do that she is going around the whole industry and wealth funds trying to find anyone who will buy her out of the hole she has dug herself into.

McCall is now like one of those drug addicted ladies of the night who is desperate for any kind of business. She will go with anyone. Money is the only thing that matters and the future of ITV and intentions of any buyer can just be ignored. Arabs, French. Anyone can go with the Dame if the price is right and she gets a nice farewell payout as part of selling ITV shareholders out on the cheap to big money investors.

To think 8 years ago ITV would have cost 250 a share to buyout. Under the Dame the price has fallen to 100. She deserves a big thank you from the potential bidders if they get a deal over the line.
