so good to have the lse equivalent of fozzie bear dispensing financial advice.
pogo you fail to address any of the real issues put to you. the future of itv, advertising and free to air. not all the current broadcasters and studios are sustainable in a market where audience numbers have more than halved. itv has gone from being no.1 in the uk to 5th place in a decade. it is not moving fast enough to secure revenue streams and make a good return on its current assets. dimwit carolyn spends more time on holiday than addressing shareholders and the business press.
as for ukraine, you have to be blind to think either side are doing anything positive. ultra nationalists fighting ultra nationalists. ww1 scenario where both sides should have avoided the war or ended it when it became obvious that nobody could win. now neither side can offer peace without demanding large gains as they have wasted 500,000+ lives. war of attrition where if either side backs down they face revolution at home. global food shortages, brink of nuclear war, destruction of ukrainian economy and infrastructure. all for this silly dream of ukrainian nationhood.
imagine where ukraine would be today if it has formed a union with russia in 1991. cheap energy in return for ukrainian farm produce. a combined russia and ukraine would be the 3rd largest economy in the world. maybe even would have rivalled china. ****** fools like pogo wrecked the ukraine
