Well said OMalley. I am a life long Labour voter but at times I vote tatically and I could never vote for Corbyn. This current bunch running the country are owned by the Unions. They will crash the economy and have seen Bond yield return to 2008 highs because of their disastrous tax raids. Tax raids so that they can afford to pay Union members extortionate pay rises and those of us in the private sector are now getting offered half the rates we were pre covid because Starmer/Reeves have sucked all the money out of the economy.

Meanwhile Pogo is back on here leaving his trademark brown stain across the forum and in denial that ITV will be impacted in 2025 by the slow down in the UK economy. This is the worst economic environment for ITV since 2009 and yet the fools who hold still believe this can return to £1.50.

Pogo tell me why is the FTSE falling from midday and how ITV will not be dragged down by the run on the Bonds market.

2 million buybacks today. ITV Board are increasingly desperate to stop the rout. Only one way this share is going unless they sell off more of the family silver.

See I was right about Solley. Minimal education. Taught to obey orders, not to question. Follow like a sheep and to demonstrate due deference to somebody with a title even if they do not merit respect.

Dame is not fit to run a FTSE listed company but Solley with his lack of education and upbringing in the military hero worships her and is blind to her failings.

Amidst all the sad act Solley's failed attempts at quality control on the board is the on going business of share buybacks.

1.68million shares bought yesterday. That is a huge increase on the previous weeks where the buybacks were down to 100k. Damage limitation mode now that the rumours are no longer sucking in the foolish investors. Desperate measures again to prop up the share price by selling off ITV assets.

There are only two dividend payments per year with ITV. Next ex dividend date is 10th April. Payment is 22nd May.

The Full year results will happen before both of those dates and will have more of an effect on the Share Price and should determine whether ITV is a viable investment or not.

Ignore Solley and his endless whines about "Garbage". He has just revealed in the two words "Our Lady" that he has promoted the Dimwit McCall to a Madonna like status in his own head. He is emotionally invested in ITV and cannot be subjective. He now believes that Carolyn is a character in one of his favourite soaps and he is fearlessly loyal.

Solley is council house born with minimal education who some how made some money but remains verily low class and dim witted. He will believe anything that is spoon fed to him by broadcasters.

McCall is a political appointee by the left. She is utterly hopeless as a CEO and business woman.

Nowhere in the last 2.5 years has it gone above 96 or £1. It has fallen into the 50s on multiple occassions. That underlines the weakness built into ITV shares. At 72p you stand to lose more than you stand to gain. Only a simpleton from Ukraine would keep on buying into this share in the hope of some highly improbable recovery.

Only the Dimwit McCall's exit can save this share and ITV.

Got to say that todays performance was woeful. That is with ITV hoovering up shares and pouring share holder money into buybacks. February or March we could see a real run on this share.

6th of March is full Year Results. If revenues are still down and the Dimwit Mccall fails to renew buybacks then this share is going to get heavily shorted.

I saw on one website that the dividend was being increased to 5.5p but I think that is not announced until FYR.

So glad not to be a holder here. There is so much pain coming down in 2025 and barely anyone thinks a bid is anything but fantasy now. No foreign investor will touch UK plc now that Reeves has hit every business with millions more cost in NI.

Gas and Oil is having quite the boom opening to 2025. I am 5%+ up with my ITV funds which are invested in Shell and BP.

Everything the Dame Milquetoast does turns out to be to the detriment of the Share Price. Paying Farage £1million so that leftie leaning ITV employees could humiliate him in the jungle went down well with a viewing public. He finally won a seat in Parliament thanks to ITV luvvies.

Why did it not climb 2% today on buyout rumours. Another FTSE 100 that is a likely buyout candidate rose by over 2% today. I am glad I am in that Share that rose by 2% rather than this one which threatens to leave you all sat on huge losses for the 7th year running.

Very well said Dalesider. That is the kind of sensible post we need and less of the pie in the sky nonsense. The hurdles that any bidder has to jump through to buyout ITV will most likely deter anyone other than the Murdochs of this world who would want to buy political influence.

Much better takeover targets in 2025. ITV is weak and very undesirable to any investor who wants a decent return on their money.

Pogo was analyst in 2023.If you read through his posting history he only came over to ITV in May-June 2023. Before that he was 95% Cineworld poster.

His arrival on this board and championing of the Dame came about as a result of his one share policy at Cineworld going tits up as his shares were de-listed and declared worthless.

He has been losing money for over a decade. The Russo Ukraine war meant that people were passed seazed Russian assets to use the interest gained from investing it. If a peace treaty now comes about where the Russians get their assets back in ful then there could be some explaining to do.

Solley is so full of it. 10 years of proclamations about how ITV are turning a corner and potential suitors. The wisdom of Solomon is sadly lacking with this one. The Joe Biden of ITV message boards.

None of the rumours have said that a deal is close with NK and Iran but I have it on good authority that behind closed doors the Iranian revolutionary guard and Kim Jong Un are meeting with Dame Carolyn McCall. The Dame has agreed to Pyongyang placing Pogo on these boards to disrupt any talk of the takeover bid.

The 3 wind up merchants of LSE board. Keep on promising the bid for over 10 years now and it never comes. They have no shame and like the DFS sale they return every few weeks with more nonsense.

Meanwhile the CBI says the UK economy is heading for the worst of all worlds as Labour tax business to pay off their chums in the unions.

McCall is a Labour stooge. She cares little for business and for shareholders. All about maintaining a leftie voice in media and keeping ITV out of big business hands. This is why the markets have deserted ITV in droves since she came to the position.
