I'm just concerned for the shorters - are they panicking today? - or were they panicking on friday? - Maybe they will delay panicking until tomorrow.

One thing is sure - if you listen to some posters on here - they WILL panic - it's just a matter of when

Once Sidara pick WG up for a bargain - THEY will be able to carry out the re-financing - they won't have to cough up this £450 million as a cash injection - this money is a mirage

If that logic is true - it only emphasises the horrendous position WG are currently in - given the bid offer Sidara made last year

Well - any serious investor cares about the fundamentals - but if they are so wonderful - why did they need to produce fake accounts for 3 years?

But let's be clear - posters on this board have ZERO effect on the share price of WG - to repeat a recent quote - 'Do you really think this is a lifestyle AIM company?'

The same managers who misstated the accounts - the accounts that absolutely trashed the share price - are still in place - the BOD is mostly intact - how can those facts NOT have a bearing on the company’s ability to operate moving forward?

LOL - Then why did they do it? - what was the motive behind the fake accounts? What was the motive behind telling the market how well the company was doing - when they KNEW those statements didn't reflect the true state of the company?

The Berenberg view is the ONLY sensible view to take on WG right now - the only mystery is why the board are still in their jobs.

There are investors who have put money into the company - based on those results - there are senior people who have been getting bonuses - based on those results.

In the US - the board would be under investigation - with a view to prosecute those responsible

But here? absolutely nothing from the city - from the FCA - and the major investors seem to be remarkably sanguine about the whole affair

The short positions have dropped - because the shorters are panicking - apparently

If I had got up in time today - I would have taken some profits at 312

With brokers recommending Buy - and targets of 350+ - there seems to be a concerted tree-shake going on with BARC - it's not often you see such volatility in a FTSE 100 share that lets you take 5% profits in a matter of days or hours

I think 'connected to' could easily become 'trading on their behalf'

I'm sure the Takeover panel would be be interested in any activity that falls into either group

If they ARE buying for Sidara - it would be interesting to know the price offered - if it is above-market - I think that's the price they have to give ALL shareholders in the event of an offer

But again - the fog of the takeover panels rules is very effective on the PI - and that price offer might just be if Sidara reach 10% -

my view on shorters - is that they don't panic - they make money

If you view the short positions in WG in isolation - it's no wonder you can't keep up :)

....as they struggle to increase their short positions above 6%

If GS are being instructed by Sidara - GS will have no need of an opinion on WG - unless they are also filling their boots as a side bet
