It’s almost winter time in Utah so it’s the wrong time to be expecting improvements in extraction volumes regardless of if Thor intervention has been successful with or without field and well improvements. The timeframe to QED payments and delivery of a MMU suggest to me that not a lot is expected to change before the spring.

There has been a need for a modern ‘rudder’ on this little ship for quite some time, though we maybe haven’t appreciated that need fully?!

Peter will bring that forcefulness I guess. He comes across as that man!

That’s not a criticism of anyone at QED just an observation of what we needed and how the immediate need for intervention has just been framed.

Thanks all for the updates I had one of those enforced changes of plans today. 🙄 So missed the IMC. Sounds very promising I’m liking that Peter comes across as a cage rattler! We’ve certainly needed that these past few years.

If he’s not prepared to wait for things to happen at customers pace, and if he has alternatives up his sleeve. All well and good!

I can imagine that strategy is a given for now but will be re-shaped in the near term as pipeline projects develop into commerciality.

The new opportunities. I can imagine some of Peters colleagues and contacts coming on board in the near to medium term as pipeline projects do progress. When they do I guess we will have a great chance of delivery success.

I’m excited about the future for our company with Peter on board and steering the ship.

And it would be in Sparkles interest to be first mover possibly with the potential to have the mini MMU operating from their facility manufacturing the MSAR HFO for themselves as well as for other power suppliers in the region.

Got to be a cut available for that. Maybe a share of profits in regional supply or a beneficial first mover per tonne pricing?

If Sparkle and their owners, really want to display compliance with government emissions targets. Then there is every reason that commercials will be discussed and concluded punctually. As SR said already these people are fairly small private owners. They don’t have large procrastating divisions and jobsworth departments to hold them back!

For me the biggest issue will be getting a refinery online in support for the bottom of the barrel stuff.

Even then, progressing early days with HFO as the fossil feedstock is doable, it got us the trial results after all.

Then there’s local power history using Orimulsion from CAmerican residues. It’s not a big issue in the region.

I’m pretty confident of a reasonably quick timeframe on Sparkle going commercial. 😊

I retired/jumped from Industry 2 years ago as company went DEI and WOKE, but still work hard for mesen.

I’m learning that a dept I was managing at the old firm that had 20 + folks in R&D and PM has cut back to less than 10 and had been heavily reliant on AI

Guess what?

They are failing on every project and on most have had to unpick last 6m to a years projects due to incorrect AI inputs on design.

Costing them tens of millions

They saved £400k in salaries over the same time 🤕

I don’t know if they’ll learn but the P&L is a mess

I’d love to see the Co2 results. I’m sure they would be just as impressive. I get that these were not a measure/criteria for the trial according to Panama government targets for environmental impact. But I’d love to see them.
