Evening all .. just had a quick look at the posters .. The modi2 one particularly .. some interesting results in mice but the standout graphs for me are the colorectal ones … pretty amazing results !
Take care all ..

Take care all ..
Morning all ..
So scancell now have a Scib1 waterfall plot to go along with their scib1 swimmer plot !
Both diagrams equally as impressive !
If you consider the human side of what those charts represent it’s remarkable.
Take care all ..
Berm Burble … can you imagine if scancell target Scib1 in first line patients and it has some success .. what does that mean for companies targeting the later treatment arenas?
Is that not what the slide was suggesting?
Take care both !
Been such a strange bb this past few days .. Particulary around the poster on the macmillan board.
It looks like she did benefit from modi1 (my opinion not fact) .. and still is ?
She took a punt and it was a good one from her point of view as her tumour was physically stopping her doing some pretty important stuff !!
6 months of improved quality of life from where she was and it could be argued that is still the case !
Yes, tumours are aggressive things and it’s a shame scancell couldn’t switch her to a combo trial but unfortunately scancell just can’t run a muck doing what it likes , it’s constrained by very tight clinical trial rules .. so hands are tied and I’m sure that is frustrating for all at scancell!
There are no magic wands with cancer but the learning is constant and Lindy is determined.. I know that at least !
Good news today.
Take care all !
Hi Cleaner!
It’s devastating to see .. the local people are all so gentle and kind .. Tourism their main industry ! What now!
My children have seen something that now is confined to the history books .. Lahaina and it’s banyan tree was beautiful and now it looks to be mostly gone.
Gutted ..
I’m happy we got home ok but still very sad!
Sometimes we get reminders of perspective .. this is one for me..
Take care all ..
Well, have I missed anything?
Got back yesterday from 3 weeks bucket list holiday to Hawaii to show the kids some of the sights I saw when I was there in my 20s backpacking !! Spent a couple of nights in LA on the way home..
Looks like it’s been a bit volatile here but the story continues and price similar to when we left !!
Just seen the news about Lahaina on Maui ! We were walking those streets a few days ago .. so sad !!
Still happy to leave my investments where they are and not tempted to chase losses elsewhere! Lol ..
Keep safe everyone .. keep making precious memories !
Take care all ..
Crumbs / All .. it also seems ‘we’ have become accustomed to the safety of scancells science. Whilst when working with the immune system there will be ‘effects’ , it seems none have been seen that have caused reportable ‘side effects’ ! When considering other forms of immunotherapy, this is remarkable is it not?
As early stage trials are primarily focussed on safety the looks like this box is getting a big tick in it so far ?
Take care all ..
Saw RNS first thing but then had school runs to do and didn’t get chance to read it fully!
So they are focussing on Scib1/ iscib1+ and Modi1 to build more data to get ‘something’ over the line it seems to me !? As a result the cash runway is a little longer in the hope of making those inflection points without further dilution ?
Fingers crossed this more ‘commercial’ direction yields what we all hope for … more options for cancer patients and a less derisory share price lol !
Take care all .. the scancell story continues !
CW .. personalised vaccine story, not an ‘off the shelf’ one .. still great news for the patients it works in !

Note to Burble and Berm, thanks for the posts on patents . Interesting stuff!
Take care all ..
Thanks Berm,
Interesting that they listed them all in the application.
I’d be interested to know too, if someone could claim to have ‘invented’ something previously mentioned in another patent application but just hadn’t been sufficiently demonstrated?
Take care ..
I agree scancell certainly spent all their efforts getting citrulination over the line .. but doesn’t moditopes broad coverage still cover the potential of the others despite not being prioritised !? We have been repeatedly informed that moditopes intellectual property coverage is indeed broad !
Thanks for yr observations as ever !
Take care ..
With vaccines having been ‘off the menu’ for several years, imagine if big pharma now did a U turn … and in the background for all these years scancell has been pushing on against the tide, continually ‘progressing’ it’s IP !!
Who would be really playing ‘catch up’ !?
Take care all ..
These are the PTM’s cited in scancells broad patent for moditope ..
“Anti-tumour immune responses to modified self-epitopes The present invention relates to the use of tumour-associated epitopes in medicine and in particular in the treatment of cancer. The epitopes stimulate an immune reaction against the tumour and have a modification selected from deimination of arginine to citrulline, nitration of tyrosine, oxidation of tryptophan and deamination of glutamine or asparagine. The invention also relates to nucleic acids comprising sequences that encode such epitopes for use in the treatment of cancer.”
Take care all .. the market doesn’t seem to think so but these are exciting times in the development of scientific medicine !
Crumbs.. thanks for posting that and it led me to look up if there is much else going on out there regarding targeting post translational modifications (directly or indirectly) and I came across this recently published piece.

Just wondering if the authors of this are aware of scancells patents?
Always good to see third party interest / validation of the ‘promise’ of the science ?
Any thought Berm / Burble ?
Take care all !
