If the LFT plans have gone to **** and no sales are expected then update the market!!! If the plans for min 5m (your recent guidance!) remain on track, with potential to scale to 60m, then now is the time to also update the market that the previous guidance remains in place and there is no reason for the drop.

It is curious that neither AVCT or MEDUSA will discuss the partnership or Self test in any detail, so there could be something in it HOWEVER I am seriously sick of guessing what may and may not be taking place.

Having held for over 1 year and had many top ups along the way (270 largest top up :( ) I am now under serious water, albeit not on leverage and can ride this out.

270 down to 124 in matter of weeks, despite delivering a best in class test and COVID still on the rampage globally.

It really does not make much sense based on known market information.

It really is a mystery as to why ODX and MOL are not yet producing HOWEVER it seems all is very much still to play for!

If all dosed patients were free from any serious side effects (which they would undoubtedly have with dox) then perhaps that is worthy of an RNS?

Obviously, we will not know whether the Chemo activated in the Tumor until later in the study but Id agree that we should know within days whether side effects have been eliminated / reduced.

AS stated that UK capacity was being increased to 30m.

I think there is still a big market in the UK for LFTs, which could easily absorb the 30m referenced by AS HOWEVER, lets assume the UK immediately cease to supply LFTs to the UK market.. The UK capacity which is being installed (with help from Toyota engineers) will not simply disappear.

Whether the tests are deployed to the UK market or overseas, I think AVCT is still very likely to secure this capacity for Affidx. The agreement with MOL is to support LFTs to low income countries.

In time for parliament testing news commencing 1230 (Javid) and 1330 (Williamson).

We appear to have partnered with MOL to develop the UK GOV test as I recall the Director from the GOV RTC (Chris?)congratulating MOL for leaving the competition at the door when AVCT announced the news. Why would he say something like that and why would MOL be supporting AVCT (we have contracted production capacity with GAD)? There must have been some form of deal in the background that includes the GOV

Are either of these high performing tests being sold yet? If not why not?

As both AVCT and MOL were part of the Gov collaboration/consortium, could there have been a contract allowing UK GOV the right of first refusal ?

As Affidx is available for sale from July 15th (per update from Calibre) - I am curious as to whether this is the date at which the UK GOV must opt in or out on its right of first refusal ? If they opt in, AVCT will sell all UK production to UK GOV, meaning they cannot (yet) sign contracts with EU end users (pending manufacturing scale up)

My take though:

Contracts were delayed pending confirmation that the test detects the Delta (confirmed 5 trading days ago). Within the RNS, AS stated that 'the ability of the test to detect this variant is paramount to our commercial roll-out' thus I don't believe it to be far fetched that this subsequent validation has been the cause of 'delay'

As we have not only confirmed detection but also confirmed the test to be significantly better than tests currently in use, I cannot think of any reason to prevent AVCT picking up some big contracts.

Perhaps comments regarding the very strong balance sheet? Such guidance might need to be provided formally via RNS?

Even with very high vaccinations the Gov would be crazy to let this rip without any testing. At 50k cases (without vaccine) the bodies were starting to pile up. If they allow this to go to 100ks of cases (even with vaccines) the bodies will pile up. Also the Delta is deadlier and long term (long covid) still poorly understood. I really doubt they will allow this virus to run wild and risk further mutations however - even if they choose to do so, there is a huge world demand out there - we are not reliant on UK gov policy.

I would say this is a certainty. Compared with FLU, these new variants, despite mass vaccinations, are still much deadlier and also come with serious, long lasting consequences. We will not be able treat this as flu.

The GOV will pass the cost of testing to business and, at +/- £5 per person per week, business will fund it.

Agree - workplace testing will be huge and long lasting. CV is highly contagious and can be very dangerous for some. I think this will develop and Employers will have a duty of care to test workforce weekly, ensuring no outbreaks. Reason being 1, CV is very serious to any vulnerable staff members and 2, will ensure no widespread outbreak and loss of staff. AS is correct with his estimation that testing will last 3-5 years with high volumes.
