Remember how much news we were supposed to get 4th Quarter? He made that statement end of 3rd.

During Q4 we received;

1. Submission of CTA for Ava6000
2. Licence Agreement with Astrea

The following news missed Q4 by ~1 month;

3. Licence agreement with Point (missed Q4 just slightly)
4. AffyXell financing (was very likely being worked on during Q4)
5, Collab wit Bruker (was perhaps expected Q4)
6. Collab with Mologic (Was perhaps expected Q4)

Clearly, the above is a Substantial amount of newsflow for any company and I do not doubt there is substantially more to follow! For a small company with such a significant pipeline of massive opportunities, I can forgive AS that the expected news was 1 month 'late'. He certainly wasn't lying when he said substantial newsflow to follow.

Well said Jdt. AS has done well. The main issue most have relates to the 'missed' timelines however those aggressive timelines delivered 50m in funding and secured the long term future regardless of the Covid testing outcome.

At the time, while AS had a clear vision regarding the potential of the LFT, no one at that time was seriously considering testing the entire population weekly with LFTs, thus there was still considerable risk attached to the project. Things are very different now, there is a clear global demand that will very likely remain for years to come.

PS - MM will take full holding at 141.... I think we have seen the back of 137..

If it wasn't for the fact I really do believe AS is a genuine guy and not akin to a typical AIM CEO, I think I would have lost faith and sold up some time ago.

He can sell the role of the LFT better than anyone else!!

It the performance is 'outstanding' in the lab, I assume this means 100% specificity and sensitivity significantly below the <300 marker shared previously?

PL75, unless AS has been house hunting again, I think its highly unlikely he would say that Lab performance was outstanding to then go on to provide average S&S Clinical data.

I think we might now be at the beginning of a very significant / sustained rise upwards. I am very heavily loaded but after todays news, which I believe massively de-risks the investment, I am really tempted to find some more cash.

Also, not sure if it has been clarified here but is the LFT that is being evaluated in Europe the LFT that has been produced by BBI?

Clinical evaluation of the lateral flow test is currently being carried out at a hospital in mainland Europe and the Company will shortly initiate further clinical validation studies in the UK and abroad.

I wonder if this hospital in mainland Europe was selected by THE WHO?

I think that the delivery of a world class test, that will be sold globally in volumes far beyond our most wild forecasts, all within 1 year....is something AS and the Avacta team can be hugely proud of!

I have been critical of the AS early bullishness however, he secured, at an early stage in this process when the risk was higher, 50m and our immediate future. In addition, there no other UK company that is currently significantly ahead of AVCT with their product delivery, thus we cannot say AVCT have been slow to deliver the test.

What we now know regarding the Affimer tech;

- BAMS has exquisite S&S, backed/validated by giant Bruker
- Elisa S&S is not rivalled by any other commercial Elisa test globally
- LFT has outstanding Lab performance, and those with more details that us (BBI, Abington, Mologic) are on-board

I don't think we can be in any doubt now that the Affimers will deliver a world best in class test AND the link with Mologic to deliver next generation LFT's will secure our position as a market leader for many years to come!

And then we have everything else...………...

I really don't think the market has cottoned on yet.

I think the delay relates to the use of Saliva. It seems obvious that we had a very good LFT using Saliva (the holy grail) but Saliva proved to be inconsistent due to the Cheese Burgers. There was switch from Saliva to NS and we are where we are, which is 7 weeks away from Affimer validation on a global scale.

I don't see Mologic mentioned?

Rightly, there have been many questions asked of AS/AVCT following several missed deadlines and radio silence for months. This has lead many to question whether the LFT opportunity remained valid (myself, on occasion, included..)

However, we now know with a significant degree of certainty that the LFT remains more than valid. We have, for the first time in a long time, a target delivery date - which is prior to end of Q1 - which is 7 weeks away! That is 7 weeks away from the near certainty of 10s millions, ramping up to 100s millions of revenue per month!

IN ADDITON though, we also have the near certainty that BRUKER will deliver BAMS, in very significant volumes.

We also have......Affyxell progressing very well, major deal with ASTREA, a major deal with POINT, a major deal with LG CHEM, AVA 6000!!! and undoubtedly multiple other undisclosed discussions..

I doubt you can find another opportunity like this anywhere globally.

7 years to end the pandemic...and that is if we are lucky and free from mutations.

So, lets dream for 1 moment that the UK Sovereign LFT, powered with the Affimer tech, delivers a BEST IN CLASS (unbeatable S&S), ultra low cost to produce, can be scaled, with production replicated globally.... it really does not matter how long the UK gov plan to test their population as the market outside the UK will last for years to come and demand will continue to outstrip supply.

If AVCT deliver as we all expect, then the test could generate multi billion revenues for years to come.

Before any mainstream coverage re LFT testing, AS and team already had the vision that demand would eventually reach 100s millions per month, thus I do believe the wait, while frustrating, is for good reason as when AVCT nail the performance with UK government backing, the test becomes a household name and will be in demand from governments all over the world.

Agree, on paper this just does not stack up.

If the test was no good and performing poorly during development then AS, not just once but on numerous occasions, will have miss lead the market (and sold shares at the same time!!) I just cant see that being the case, so remain hopeful that the performance is 'very good indeed' and within the expected clinical range.

So that leaves us with the alternative theory that, due to the exquisite performance, the tech is of national security importance and thus has been kept under strict confidentiality until ready to roll out. This theory also seems far fetched but I don't see any other explanation.

Aside from the poor innova test, there is nothing else that is currently available at scale, so while it is disappointing to still be waiting, the bus also appears to be waiting for us.....

With Summer missed, Q4 missed, January missed, Vaccines deployed - the vast majority of PIs have left the building - yet the share price has held up very well.
