SLB have been aggressively cutting/reducing costs to support downsizing in line with the industry downturn. There is no way they would sanction spend / get involved with a project in this way without feeling more than just 'confident' on the return on investment!

Gone are the days when a company like SLB invests in each and every project offering potential. The Due diligence will have been extreme (they will know that the CAPEX required to deliver the project is low risk) and the technical investigation /approval will have been signed off by the best in the business.

This is a major thumbs up to the Anchois development!

New investors can buy now within 15% of Fridays closing price. Between Friday and today, we now know the following;

- AVCT have been working closely with the UK GOV DHSC, have sampled multiple LFT's and now have a SUPER FAST (5m) LFT that shows excellent performance data - (confirmed via DHSC and not denied in todays RNS)

- We also now know that the final assessment of the SUPER FAST LFT has completed the final assessment with inside sources predicting that results will be published either to coincide with the PM’s Covid roadmap or soon after (again, not denied in todays RNS)

I would conclude that the 2 snippets above are worth significantly more than 15%.

Being 'all-in' I cannot check how much stock the MM are willing to let go? What is the max buy without going to NT?

Firstly, see the following sub-title, which introduced the RNS with subject of discussion in relation to the UK GOV TAKE-UP of the AVCT test;

"Avacta Group plc (AIM: AVCT), the developer of Affimer® biotherapeutics and reagents, notes the recent press speculation about UK Government TAKE-UP of Avacta's lateral flow SARS-CoV-2 rapid antigen test"

TAKE-UP? No denial re the TAKE-UP - which the article suggests will be HUGE from April.

Note that the content does not discuss the TAKE-UP, instead only corrects the following;

"The press report this weekend incorrectly stated that a saliva-based rapid antigen test from Avacta had been evaluated at Porton Down. In fact, the evaluated test was the anterior nasal swab test that has subsequently generated the excellent initial clinical performance data outlined above. However, in its evaluation Porton Down used artificial samples and did not use clinical samples"

The RNS is very carefully drafted, undoubtedly scripted by the lawyers. It is designed to calm the market (from exploding) while also leaving room for BOJO to update the world later today, followed by AVCT.

In hindsight, if you were prevented from announcing such news to the market prior to BOJO, this is exactly how you would draft the RNS!

No denial on the SUPER FAST TEST, no denial that we are central to the UK Gov plan, to be announced to coincide with Bojo speech later today.

AVCT name went global over the weekend. I suggest you pour a large coffee, sit back and relax, as today there will be fireworks!

This has been a long weekend dreaming about what the RNS may say at 7AM tomorrow. Its been a long PAINFUL wait, checking/expecting that 7AM RNS everyday from late Summer has not been fun however the our day will finally arrive tomorrow.

We now know that AVCT have complied with the requirements of the Gov NDA for many months. With the GOV insiders leaking the news to the Huff on Friday, I suspect that AVCT will now be cleared to update the market and suspect all will be revealed in a comprehensive TU.

I think it is unlikely however If AVCT must remain silent pending the announcement from Bojo at 3PM, I have no idea what AS will say at 7am. I don't think he can remain silent with such widespread news speculation however, he also cannot deny the news with all to be revealed later in the day. Perhaps a suspension pending the GOv update?

What an exciting day lies ahead!!

I note Stifel have also posted a table of the Performance of LFTs globally, including pricing (they must read this site as I requested that yesterday :))

While no CT data included, AVCT test does look to be best in class! Even more so when you consider sample method and price point!

I suspect they will revise their forecasts next week following the announcement form BOJO that the UK now has capacity to deliver millions per day.

Guidance that AVCT will retain 35% of Economics (£2.5 per test).

Also take note that the clinical data shared on Feb 16th is sufficient to CE mark. I have no doubt that this data has been used by Mologic to CE mark the product and we are ready to roll from Monday

The RNS says Mologic will CE mark enabling AVCT to sell immediately. The CE mark WILL THEN ME transferred to AVCT by close of March.

Now tell me, why would there be such a rush to CE mark this test enabling sales PRIOR TO MARCH?

The Mologic RNS addressed the CE marking..... Everything WILL BE IN PLACE to enable AVCT to be central to MASS ROLL OUT OF LFTs!

Thanks Lee for the correction. Would be good to know what AS sees as the primary risk that would prevent AVA6000 working in Humans as it does in Mice. If Giles is reading, please ask AS next time you get the chance.

What is the likelihood that Ava6000 will perform as well in Humans as it does in Mice?

I assume the major risk is that Humans will not tolerate the Affimer however, this would surely be a really minimal risk in comparison to how well Humans tolerate Doxorubicin, which is highly toxic and would surely have killed the mice if it was toxic?

Can we feel confident in a successful outcome here?
