It should be expected that the Directors would take some profit some time, after all they have built their stake (albeit mostly via LTIP and option grants). PR executed on an option LTIP (zero cost) and paid tax and NI, he ten sold ~ half his holding which were mainly option grants. Also, CGT is 20%, so optimal time, also these guys earn over £145K, so again with divi tax over 37.5%, then good time to take some reward. The market will be a little nervous, and drop the SP rapidly if any selling reaction to Director sales, however, i guess it will recover once the initial flurry has settled. Don't forget its at an all time high since the crash, there is bound to be profit taking, but the overall trend may continue upwards, assuming the overall market sentiment stays good for a while.

Todays Brexit polls show a strong lead for staying in, and I believe SL are one of those stocks which are held back by the uncertanty. All things being equal, if we vote to stay in I think that we should see a re rating for SL, perhaps towards £4 this autumn

Hopefull the trading statement (incl AUM update) due on 17th will help put a floor under SL, and maybe even be the start of a re-rating cycle

LIkely that depressed earnings from ADM will weigh on SL. Can't see them recovering until we get through Brexit and get sight of 1st half figures.

FYI, SL made announcement at final results, that they would no longer issue AUM updates on a quarterly basis.

Well, they are just taking advantage of over valued paper. As for the purchase, they are going for the land grab strategy, and buying up any competition, at any prices (paid for by over valued paper). Acquisition strategies like this can flatter to deceive, until the momentum slows. Then it is very difficult to hide the facts. However, if the markets continue to rise and consumer confidence continues to grow it may be a while before anyone can risk shorting.

Yeah, exploiting inflated SP for acquisitions. At least they are not burning any cash. However, one must ask how long before someone spots the emperor has no clothes ? Need to be patient if planning to short, especially if the election feel good factor and a general global recovery, albeit patchy, may mean we have a while to wait. Patience is required, as in all good investment strategies ... But once she starts to go, like the Titanic it will be relatively quick. Usual rules apply, this is MHO ...

Well, as previous posters have pointed out, why would a restaurant pay Just Eat a commission, if they are busy anyway. Restaurants may be inclined to put the Just Eat orders to the bottom of the pile whilst they deal with the normal sales channel. This would further damage the credibility of Just Eat, as their customers get poor or non existent service. Problem with "internet / dot.com" listings is that VC types tend to through money at them, on the basis that some of them will succeed, and write off those that don't. So not really well thought out, but provides a false support for the SP. Question is, at what point to deploy short positions ... need to follow the Jesse Livermore approach me thinks ...

Looks to me like its forming a "head and shoulders", and given I for one can't see how JE can grow once the novelty wears off, maybe a good short ? Or am I just out of touch with modern day eating habits. What happens if the restaurant chooses not to accept the order. Why give away 12% if they are busy, and what happens to JE revenues if the restaurants action a buyers strike, until the 12% margin is reduced. Is there anything unique about this, what stops competition jumping on board if JE does prove there is a market.

Ah well, off with my head ... Will have to wait until tomorrows results announcement to see if we can push on from here. Maybe something else to be announced, as they have booked an analysts call at 0800 hrs. From memory they don't usually go in for that kind of promotion. Also thought results were originally scheduled for 12th March, so have they been brought forward.

Well, I'm going to stick my neck out and say that Friday and Today are just attempts to loosen some stock. Looking at those transactions, there has not been much in the way of selling, and Thursday's rise looked every bit as though someone (or an algorithm) was hoovering up whatever was available. If I am right then I would expect to see another solid rise before the results announced in a couple of weeks. Of course, I could be wrong :-)

Seems NICL have manged to continue growth, so earlier hiccup with Gul Brothers will be largely forgotten. I think that it is reasonable to expect them to firm up, and perhaps recover 50% of the lost ground (previous high of ~1200), so perhaps ~1000+. Then it will be down to publication of trading update with annual results, and interims, to confirm whether they are able to continue to grow market share, increasing cash flow and earnings, before they move to test the previous high. Either way, good solid bet.

Having drifted down, what chance of a recovery once IMS released in Jan. The one off exceptional should not deter investors if 2nd half figures meet Chairman's expectations. The SP was probably overheating a little this time last year, with the key measures looking a little stretched, however if 2nd half figures as forecast then should be set fair for a modest recovery.

Well, thats two profit warnings out of the way. Just need to wait for the third one and we will be better able to judge whether VLX has any prospects, or not. Danger is that private equity might decide to take them private at this low price, and restructure out of sight for a return to the market in a couple of years. Just needs to support of the two biggest share holders (Nat Rothschild and Golden Peaks) to force the issue.Can't imagine they will be pleased with this years performance.

I have held this share for a few years now, and since it was restructured a few years ago has steadily risen. I see no reason for it to slow down, as they are starting from a small base. Most growth is coming from Africa and Middle east.
