The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Dougie
The SFO nor the FCA need a dissertation from shareholders… They need name, subject, concern. Pretty sure they can quickly google (or thoroughly investigate) whatever else they need to know…
Call me illogical.. :)
Dougie…
Play the ball (subject) not the player …
Frustratingly it’s easy to become sidelined… we’re all at times guilty
Subject is Amit & Cloudtag
Dougie, I appreciate the time it’s perhaps taken for you to select c&p the below…
Then one perhaps needs to be tuned into confirmation bias, respectively
I’m more interested in the reply you received from the SFO… my understanding is - that their reply to some, was complainants to fill in an online concern with Action Fraud which would achieve a query/investigation… though, that they would need at least 50 similar causes for concern?
Given the tsunami of complainants - then I’d presume that what Trombone has said earlier… no evidence of fraud or wrongdoing?
Given that Amit was regulated and still is registered with the FCA, would indeed be of particular interest to any investigation officer.
How long does it take to sort out anomalies ?
“Progression then sees concern being raised with the failure of CTAG to pay its debts ie. the non-payment of owed dividend / income payments. Which again appears to be centred on the tort of deceit ; fraud.”
17th April update on the Cloudtag website doesn’t lend itself to deceit… just saying
Dougie, many contacted the SFO for verification that Cloudtag is what it says on the lid
Trombone hasn’t heard anything back in respect - have you?
“Fraud also encompasses scientific achievements.”
One only needs to google Elizabeth Holmes … self made billionaire. I recognise the types of fraud
There was allegedly a tsunami of pi’s who’ve reported Amit to the SFO this was at least a month ago … he reads social media, also this bb. Yet he continues to lead shareholders to believe what’s stated on the website
“Fraud” is then one if several possibilities and so can not be ignored.
So then, given detailed accountability via website updates, in particular recently, then one would ask why does Amit feel it’s necessary if his intentions were to defraud? It doesn’t make logical sense to me. This I what I really struggle with… and trying passing it off as a mental health problem simply doesn’t wash
B3ast
I read it as a reply which Platypus received from HL? Though it is confusing.
Perhaps I’m the only one who doesn’t actually care whether Amit is the paying agent, or whether he’s contracted a team… question is how long does it take to unravel anomalies ?
How long should it take to build a company to the value of $c275m… ?
I don’t know the actual total accumulated investment from pi’s (I can only guess, what 15-20million? (happy to stand corrected). I heard Amit invested c2million of his own funds, he’s a majority shareholder, if info on the website can be relied upon.
Apart from the SaaS licensing deal, also the DaaP pending sale… I don’t actually know what research & development the company has undertaken, other than what’s been stated via the website…
The paying agent allegedly has made contact with HL… is this not a third party verification that the paying agent exists?
Shouting this is all a… (and I quote) ‘fraud’… isn’t helpful
1984… yep I’d agree with you in principle… best check it out though, if you’re serious about buying from another shareholder …
‘28th July 2022
Further, the Company confirms that from July 29th 2022 it will no longer give approval for the secondary transfer of its shares between third parties in line with Article 43 of its Articles of Association’
Dougie - 30 January 2024 The company is pleased to announce that the enhanced payment for the DaaP of circa $4.5 million has been approved by the buyer. The exact amount will be decided at the time of distribution. The DaaP deal funds distribution will swiftly follow the license fee distribution.
10th April 2024
The Paying Agent is now in receipt of the licensing funds…
God only knows where they’ve been from 30th Jan until 10th April..
‘there is a machiavellian approach to the endless notices with their consistent agendas of recklessness with the truth.’
… Machiavellian ? Perhaps Amit Is going to trouser the €2 mill… from the €50m licensing fees, instead of paying the agents… who knows
I no longer have a scooby, of what’s what with any of the updates… they’re an abundance of nonsensical misinformation. Unlikely many would disagree
So go for it, why not throw your views into the mix… can’t let any truths (or fibs) get in the way of a good story :)
Re the $50 million licensing fees… interest isn’t usually earned/paid on escrow accounts. (If there was interest earned in which ever account monies are currently, then it should be added to the account and paid to shareholders, surely)
$275 ‘deposit’… what is this?
The DaaP ‘deal’ according to a past update is in escrow, isn’t it? No funds or deposit paid have been received have they? Well, shareholders certainly haven’t been informed.
Bank-rolling Impulse..? Wouldn’t that be classed as money laundering?
Also well dodgy to even make such suggestions? From any perspective. Imv
1984… pretty sure Amit said ages ago, the company will no longer allow the transfer of shares from one shareholder to another ?
Just a few musings from the Pom-Pom waver … happy to stand corrected… tomorrow, tomorrow, there’s always tomorrow … it’s only a day away
HITS… touché
Nevertheless you’re here responding :)
Pom Pom waving… ever so funny… lol.
Perhaps I’m too disagreeable… I can live with this.
Opinionated people aren’t ever celebrated… are they ?
Am I challenging your thought too much Soyo?
Apologies
‘"Amit/cloudtag is either a pawn in much bigger game" – GIVE IT A REST.‘
No
‘Forever the stalker Whispering.’
Looollll…. You wish :)
Forever the misogynist Dougie :))
There’s an equilibrium to be had somewhere …
Forever the zealot Dougie… :)
Should you keep having a a dig at the so called ‘inner circle’ then perhaps they will then keep themselves ‘inner’… perhaps it’s worth remembering they too are shareholders, who are also frustratingly at the end of the line with Amit… and willing to share their views.
Taking a stance from a distance perhaps allows for an objective perspective ?
Amit/cloudtag is either a pawn in much bigger game… or he wishes he was
I’m trying to stay on the fence … only because I want to be hopeful that shareholders will see a return on their investment

‘Maybe it's time for another Chandra post on twitter to keep the false hope alive, or maybe he has also woken up and realised Amit has been using him as a pawn for years.‘
If there isn’t an update tomorrow, which Amit has promised verbally to the chap on twitter… then this would be a particularly bitter pill to swallow, especially for those who’ve had regular comms over past few years and built a trusting relationship.
The rest of us have perhaps become hardened to the disappointment and let downs of past updates

Recommend 👍🏻
Whether Amit/Cloudtag Inc/ SB Corp meets the necessary criteria for a ‘serious fraud investigation’ … well, that is way beyond my remit, and yet to be considered by the powers that be…
AIM4
You have replied to me before, also I
appreciate your comments … thank you
I think it’s good for shareholders to have balance, to also have trust… whether that be with Amit himself, and if not, then other organisations such as the SFO
‘Can the SFO take action against both UK and foreign companies?
First, the SFO may still use its powers under section 2(3) of the CJA to compel a UK company or a foreign company with a fixed place of business in the UK to produce documents held outside the UK.’
Though Amit without doubt, other than an NDA… has a clear paper trail...
