Nothing like someone not being able to act on new information.
If a major update came out which cleared up the UI, bugs and removed limitations for PC users, resulting in a much improved review score & player count, i 'might' jump back in with a smaller amount, this game did have huge potential. However, The overall impression of Frontier now (not just individual departments) is one of mis-management, little to no quality control, lack of pride, headless chicken top brass and a focus on micro-transactions without delivering on initial product... release now, fix later!
EA can just get away with this style of business plan, Frontier can not.
I knew I was taking a risk when entering around 120, hoping the execution of PC2 would be vastly different to F1M, the risk has been realised, time to jump, no emotion apart from disappointment it won't continue but happy to take over 100%.
Mr Watts seems like a hands on CEO, imo, until he leaves the same mistakes will happened title after title. He's not learnt from previous years, that's something i was keeping an eye out for & a big reason why im out.
Imo, the SP will not break 300 unless the right major update is released, not just any update, the right one (previous title update says this will not happen).
*This idea of building for console first, instead of unleashing full potential for PC then adapting for console is a huge business mistake imo, and the main factor driving the poor execution of this titles! Restricted content, cutting corners, poor UI, Graphic issues for PC users, kick in the teeth for the modding community resulting in a lower input of effort by them which was a main driving force in PC1.
Frontier needed to out do themselves on this or at minimum deliver something bigger and better than before, i don't believe they have done that, so doesn't make sense to keep money here with little to no upside to look forward to and a drop in confidence.
A player point of view from their previous titles; although playable, and can be fun for some, they just do not feel right, they feel empty, lack of content, simple mistakes, poor UI (major factor why the games feel 'off'), overcomplicated in areas that need not be, not complex enough in areas that should be. Playing frontiers current titles seems more of a labour than entertainment with PC users especially feeling this pain.
If that's pure emotion, you must be right Molatovkid
