It’s the perfect example of how things can and do change in the commercial world, but as always you prefer the contrarian approach. It is what it is.

Just to be clear where my “beliefs”/hope lie. I do think that when this unfolds MSC will sign deals with us, circumstances and legislation make that much more likely than not. But it’s far from in the bag, and these decisions have not yet been made. I wish they had been as the SP would be multiples of where it is now.

The fact remains that Maersk altered their commercial position due to the impending sulphur regs coming in 2020. They opted at that time not to use scrubbers (which our proposition relied upon) choosing instead low sulphur fuels. This is basic QED knowledge, not abstract.

So this sudden change from a prospective client was not an outlier, or exception to the “rule” as you out it, but a perfect example of how we have nothing till we have a commercial contract in place. MSC could just as easily opt for solutions that don’t involve us. That’s commercial reality.

Indeed, but they remain unmarried until they sign the form. We remain non-commercial till we sign a contract. Go back to my original point which was about commercial contracts, not believe in what anyone thinks may happen.

Everything you say now about MSC could equally have been said about Maersk. How did that work out?

Yep, life is a series of ongoing decisions. However, again, the decision that matters is whether they sign a commercial agreement or not. That decision has not, and will not be made for some time yet. Pretty obvious really.

If the market thought it had been made, I doubt we’d be sitting at 4.5p, but no doubt we’ll get the contrarian version of why that’s the case too.

It’s not my believe at all, it’s you who has a belief about what may happen.

MSC are on a pathway through choice, but getting back to the point, when they make the decision that matters is when they have all the data, that’s not a “legal” point, it’s reality.

Again, not true. The “decision” is made when contracts are agreed and signed, you know that to be true. What you are describing is different decision to trial the fuel perhaps in the hope and expectation they may adopt it.

Nothing exists commercially until agreements are reached, and as I said, that decision will only be made when MSC have all of the data at their disposal, which they don’t currently have. What you believe is obviously a matter for you, we all have them. My point is not based on belief but basic commercial reality.

What decision is final? The decision that matters commercially is whether they choose to buy it and adopt it commercially. That decision will not be made until MSC are satisfied it’s what they want to do. Anyone is free to hold whatever beliefs they want, but in terms of actual decision making, that’s some way down the line.

There are so many traders latched on to us now that I doubt we can sustain SP spikes unless or until some serious longer term investors take positions. When that happens? I’m sure it varies per investor but first commercial deal would be an obvious point of change.

Everything we are right now is potential, no matter what ramping traders say, so until such times as our team translate potential into commercial reality there will always be a doubt or a cloud hanging over us, largely due to our failure to deliver over many years.

Morocco and Panama in the short to medium term are more likely to transform than the LONO in my view. It’s still just a trial at the end of the day. What matters is what MSC do with it when it’s completed in 2026. If they buy into it going forward then it’s mega, we do need a lot to fall into place to get there.

But if you’re in it for some trading opps like Spartacus then I’m sure there are plenty of short term opportunities.

Stocky says “scheduled”, but the last RNS referring to the trial states Q2 2025, now that is a fact.

Jason helpfully explained that their “target” date is when Leandra docks in mid May. For this to happen several things have to be in place not least of which are the outstanding bilateral agreements. The other major unknown is the state of play with the fuel production equipment. Is it on site waiting for the agreements to be signed before being assembled or has it been assembled and commissioned already?

If ready to go, why not post some nice photos? Quadrise said they don’t have to wait for the agreements before assembling the equipment but that’s not the same as saying they definitely will! Years of reading Uadrise RNS and listening to their language has proven that point many times.
