Magna International opened the doors Thursday to its new 170,000-square-foot mirror manufacturing facility in Duncan that will employ roughly 255 workers.

Magna Mirrors will produce high-tech exterior mirror systems for automotive customers including BMW, Mercedes and Volvo.

I thought the RNS yesterday sounded like a project. "this Agreement will target development of a single semiconductor product with the option to expand into a larger family of devices." Could the Magna RNS be the same project ?

Ford’s new patented AR system will make use of the HUD, cameras, GPS, and radars, to project on the windscreen the path that must be followed by the driver. It’s essentially giving you another set of eyes. Furthermore, it will be able to adjust settings like brightness, contrast, and color on its own to make sure the person behind the wheel sees what information is being shown to them.

The AR system will also know when it must activate on its own based on data like the driver’s eye squint status, the speed, the location, or what the weather is like at a certain moment within the day.

This technology is not limited to cars or trucks, as Ford is looking to install it even in vans or buses.

If another company were to purchase SEE does that not give them significant control over a major benefit within the Qualcomm Automotive business ? What about the potential to use SEE eye tracking tech in AR/VR ? It must be worth more than 3 bn

If we can track eyes throughout a whole vehicle surely we could track an eyes within a visor. Why could we not have another division for gaming products. The profit on 4-5 million head sets every year must be worth some effort.
