I'm happy too, as I've just checked the cause lists for the Cayman courts and Frontera / Hope are not listed. Maybe we can start to breathe again. Ivy mentioned that the Gazette is out on Monday, so we need to look again at that point. Fingers crossed all.

For me (and others I’m sure), I’m looking forward to another no-news-is-good-news type update from the Caymans court lists this evening. The longer the DoS continues unchallenged, the more secure we can all feel that FRR has a future. The minor slap on the wrists re sanctions from the Californian court did seem like a win, as I think CF73 suggested. Not all lost by any means and perhaps still with a decent chance of at least getting our money back and possibly much, much more....

The continued news blackout has got me thinking, as no doubt others have already concluded, that we are waiting on either the liquidators to accept the DOS, or for it to be contested and therefore need to go before a judge. Around 3 weeks have already passed since it was submitted - any ideas on how long we might have to wait until we get news?

And sincere thanks to you Taffy for the fact that you are looking at this everyday. For my part, I read this board and the ii board everyday, hoping for the one piece of good news that eases all of our minds. I'm still hopeful, but I'm not sure if it's out of desperation or borne out of my incredibly well-judged investment decisions! Thanks again, and keep up the good work.

Taffy - thanks for the new doc. Is this the document that Hope was asked to submit after we didn't get the injunction? Was today the last day for its submission? Clearly Hope thinks FRR are going to get the book thrown at them/us, but if it was all part of the playing-for-time charade, then it may well have been worth it. BWTFDIK

“Still think they have a strong case on ‘breach of fiduciary duties’ and remember this is what the case is about. So does the submission on ‘monetary sanction’ imply a strong case as the Judge given the nod on that? In the meantime, I assume the liquidation process continues concerning FRCC. So what will come first, decision on this court case or liquidators trying to legally reverse the PSA farm-out with another entity?

Finally, a message for our friend ‘regdik’ on LSE BB…can he make some friendly calls to his ex-buddies at BP regarding the ramp up of activities in Georgia (who & why?).
Also think, the 1hr spent in the Court, FRR Legal team have tried to strengthen their case on the fiduciary breach with ‘Supplemental Memorandum of Points and Authorities’, which has convinced the Judge for the Plaintiffs to submit their claim for loss… Let’s hope it is more than $56mln! One way or another, it seems one of these parties will be wiped out…”

Good luck all as we enter into an important 24 hours or so. Fingers crossed plan A works and we get an injunction. We’ll then be in a much stronger position and could come out of this really well. If it goes against us, then plan B according Madpunter is paying Hope off via the loan. Both ways look good compared to where we are at the moment, as long as we still have access to the loan. My fingers are very much crossed.

Thanks - they always have adverts on the radio for financial mis-selling so perhaps I’ll take a look. And I agree with you RR, that with this 12 month solvency rule, we may yet come out of all this with some in the bank.

Starrage - which solicitors did you use? Have you completed the action and settled? Have you signed an bad?

I think Goit has hit the nail on the head.
1 - back in December the plan was to get Hope off the board and pay him off via the Durham loan.
2 - Starage listed all the docs on this BB which highlighted the mis-information re the interest payment, causing the Nomad to resign. Hope it seems then acted to ensure we were unable to get a new Nomad. On this basis, the Durham loan fell through.
3 - without a Nomad we entered in to a delaying game, making regular money from the wells and finding new money via the $150m loan
4 - as MadPunter says, the plan is now to prove solvency and then come back in some form. And as others have explained, the solvency issue is now the real key to our survival.

Only news is that the Caymans Gazette has shown the the Frontera company for Georgia has been liquidated and there is a 3 week delay for the formalities. People here thinking/ hoping that the assets is hidden safely away elsewhere in FRR.
