I am familiar with the reality of a Witholding tax having held Irish shares within my SIPP and ISA.

The tax is 25% in the case of Ireland and there’s no way of reclaiming it that I’ve ever discovered.

Five days to vote and no cogent argument as to why this change is in our interests.

Clearly our votes don’t matter.

The Chinese holiday has caused a bit of a glut on the LME adding to the volatility in the price of copper and aim shares get the brunt of it.

i’ve been in here for eleven years now and i’ve learnt to watch the action with hopefully a bit of objectivity.

i watch the cooper price daily. its 3.61 right now and this extremely volatile at the moment.

however the movement of the dollar against the euro in the past quarter has been very much in our favour.

i have purchased another 970 shares in the past half hour which will no doubt show as sells.

as mr dc has advised there is a shorter here accumulating for next weeks good news.

i also watch anto***asta for comparison and it has fallen only a little in the past week.

Yes and the dollar has benn moving in the right direction with respect to the euro.

What do we make of the recent development whereby new graduate starts who were to start this month have had their start delayed until next January.

Has some plan been delayed or or they trying to save money ?

Has anyone noticed that the dividend here has more or less doubled from 7.8p declared last November to 16.1p declared on May 22nd payable on 20th October.

Researching this further, the currently proposed dividend is the second one for 2022.

Notification today that the AGM is on June 28th.

I wonder could someone clarify things for me.

I understand that our next dividend has to be passed at the AGM. Is that in June ? Do we have a date for that. Presumably, it won’t be paid before August. The last one was paid in September 21. I understood there were to be two dividends a year. Did I miss an announcement saying there would be just one this year or when does the year begin and end. I would be grateful if anyone understands this better than I do.

Inflation in Spain is now at 3.29% down from 6.03% the previous month.
This is good as our costs are in euro.
Unemployment in Spain stands at 13% so wage inflation can’t be too strong either.
The falling dollar is not favourable though with ours dividends being in dollars.
