If that was their plan, then they would have accepted the offer to buy back the 5%, waited until it was complete so we had a bunch of borrowings on (a now stressed) our balance sheet - with no income to service it. That would be the sensible way to engineer a cheap takeover...... but if you really want to believe the takeover cr*p, then go ahead....

I think they will agree the basic content to release and also the timing. To avoid disadvantaging shareholders on either side of deal, I think the only window would be an after hours GGP RNS here in London, followed by the NCM RNS prior to opening (which would be late evening here in the UK).

The interesting bit IMO is the 7% holding that the options represent (once all fully vested, of course).
Now, I don't know what the full plan details are, but does this come into play on a takeover offer? i.e. is an offer a 'trigger' under the scheme which will allow the shares to be vested and consequently used to vote?

With the known 27% holding, is this significant in rejecting or accepting a bid (either with or against the 27%)?

The 20Moz is very significant IMO, not just for HAV but for GGP overall.

Listening also to the Callum interview, both CB and SD talk of elephant country and try to build the picture of how they look for larger deposits.

So in this area we have Telfer (how many oz to date?), and now we have HAV (20Moz+). Which one will prove to be the biggest? Are they sisters or is one a big brother? The implication is that there are more elephants about (or maybe baby elephants?). So, IMO, if we have found this 20Moz+ so close to Telfer, the chances of finding one or more of the family has increased. Had we found only a 6Moz baby elephant, we would have a high chance of finding something, but something that may be too small to be economical under 400m of cover. Having two biggies 'in the bag' increases the chances of finding one or more 5Moz+ (economical) babies.

Not a geologically sound reasoning, but if there is more, and we have identified the tip of the potential pyramid - things could get really interesting over the next 5 years or so.

Lets assume that this is driven from known assets (i.e. HAV alone) and also assuming that the 5% is concluded for this valuation, i.e. for our 25%. This will make HAV worth £52bn. This equates to $63bn. This, of course, would have to be a net present value to take into account the time needed to mine the whole deposit. This would produce a total, all in vaue of HAV of well over $150bn.

Just not possible in any achievable timescale. Complete and utter fantasy. Just simple critical thinking along the above lines will help you steer clear of this sort of rubbish.
