Agree with that logic and will go for Spain to apply for special approval for self testing. Germany has already done that with Flowflex way back in February, quickly followed by France, Holland, Portugal, Denmark. No reason why Spain cannot go down that path and you would expect the rest to follow.
Flowflex was granted CE mark for self test in May, I understand Avct is in the process collecting more data to achieve this end.
The MHRA may allow a self test policy for the Avct test, we can only hope Spain does a favour. Self test would be a game changer.
Germany used Special Approval though TUV SUD to use the Flowflex LFD for self testing, this can be done with our test if anyone in the EU applies for it. It took from Feb to May for Flowflex to get a CE mark for self testing and it was used extensively throughout the EU from February. I believe we are already gathering the necessary data to apply for self testing. the wheels are in motion and the EU needs more reliable LFDs.
Spain will apply imo for Special self test Approval, it will open up their borders, the rest will follow. Finally to make my day up yours in my huge green box.
PD results for phase 3b testing : Innova Sensitivity at Ct 21.5 - 25 = 96%, Ct 25 - 28 = 88%. Facts printed by PD on the Innova performance.
Innova recorded a Sensitivity of > 90% at < Ct 25 at PD which means it's fit for purpose, not the best but good enough at the time.
The Yanks and the Chinese at it again, Flowflex boasts the best S&S results of any LFD on the market, until now. Their S&S figures are 97% and 99.6% with CE marking for self testing from 17th May. Before CE approval for self testing it was being used in multiple EU nations, Germany being the first country to grant special approval.in February this year. Now used in France, Holland, Austria, Portugal, Denmark and interestingly not in Spain.
Flowflex has also been through PD Phase 3 trials and I would expect supplied the relevant number of tests for them to continue their evaluation. They must be churning them out in the billions in HANG ZHOU, the yanks will doing what they do best, smell the opportunity too make a few bucks.
Unfortunately second place only gets the silver award and who remembers who came second. It would be fair to say when the Spanish get approval we can also sell for self testing, the Germans did it for Acon and the rest followed. Another interesting fact is 67 companies are advertising their LFDs in the EU swamping the market with inferior tests. This has caused a great deal of confusion in the market, we need good PR to guide our ungrateful ex partners to the trough.
Happy Days.
Arpegiatta2 you need to go into the Deepverge Website, you will be pleasantly surprised at the array of technology you find. Water treatment, reverse osmosis, virus detection, Plant Manufacturing, Microbiome Skin .
Integumen now called Deepverge after they acquired Modern Water. DVRG employ a system called Microtox PD to detect the virus in wastewater using Affimers / Aptamers as the reagent. The system can detect the virus in four seconds and constant monitoring identifies the area of concern very quickly. By detecting the virus before the infection rate gets a chance to increase you limit the need to lockdown that particular area of concern.
This imo is the only way forward, testing of this system has been ongoing for over six months and finally it looks like we have a step by step procedure to combat the virus. The technology is superb and worth a read.
Spooky Energyshares, just finished reading about Roche / SD Biosensor LFT on sale in Germany Sensitivity 91.2% at
MCAP $287 billion, R&D in 2020 $12 billion.
Bought Genentech in 2008 for $47 billion to secure their oncology drugs.
Patens expired, Pfizer making one of their drugs called Ziraben.
Roche website states: "In Vitro Diagnostics have long been the silent champions of Healthcare influencing 60% of clinical decision making while accounting for 2% of the total Healthcare spending. The future of sustainable Healthcare depends on Diagnostics".
A $20 billion bid for Avacta would be a drop in the ocean for Roche and an estimated offer of £72 a share, a bit short of that £200 often quoted.
In short they have a second class LFT and are looking for a pipeline of oncology drugs. With their R&D spending Affimers could be a lifeline , best reagent and potential oncology drug pipeline. You know it makes sense Rodders, this time next year we'll be millionaires. We've had worst days, Luvvly Jubbly.
Cheers, just glad it's no where near Porton Down.
I believe the BT is at PD , is this the only site. Why I ask, they have failed miserably in identifying the two top performing LFD tests ( Avacta / Mologic ) both failing to reach phase 3 trials. The reagents used were the ones DRVG employ Affimers / Aptamers, both companies successfully using Europe as their CV route. It appears using frozen spiked samples did not give an accurate result for some tests where as live Hospital samples achieved excellent Sensitivity & Specificity results.
The BT is at risk of failing to reach the required S&S results at PD. LFDs has a different set of testing criteria however it's all about the reagents used to capture the virus. Hopefully DVRG have alternative testing routes, any info would be appreciated.
Update much appreciated, makes a very good read and reinforces the decision to invest in DVRG. Totally amazed you can buy this share for 33p, just proves how stupid this market is. In here initially through Avacta / Affimer collaboration, very confident the cream will rise to the top.
Sir Al is in dialogue with DHSC /PHE saying what, PD has failed in the validation process for our LFD, Europe is extremely interested in our test. Do you want in on the deal or look like idiots when you miss out.
PD has validated 19 LFDs at phase 3 level since Sept 2020 up to May 2021, Avacta / Mologic are not on this list. Big Government shout about to be made very soon.
PD has covered over 120 LFD validation tests, how many more balls ups have they made.
I immediately recall the the Avacta statement, Avacta aims to become the leading provider of next generation IVD tests STARTING with AffiDX Sars Cov2 Antigen LFT. Think ahead, 5 10 30 million tests a month is chicken feed to the vast range of infectious diseases we can dip our little magic Affimer into. Mind blowing.
In the latest update by the CEO he reported Mologic provided the final architecture for the LFD and GAD were in an advanced state of readiness too manufacture this particular architecture. So instead of using an Aptamer as per their LFD Affimers were used to produce the best test.
Mologic produced the best LFD, Avacta sprinkled some gold dust into their effort and bingo the best test. There can be no other conclusion Affimers bind better, the best in class.
That being the case the potential to dominate the Diagnostic market is very much on. It was said we have a large pot of Affimers, whatever one binds to your particular need can be produced quickly and relatively cheaply.
Covid has kickstarted a very lucrative market for Avacta, rapid diagnosis is the future , who out there can match the Affimer.
Quality sells, and lasts the journey. Exciting times ahead imo
Why would ODX give a Sensitivity of 98.4% for a viral load of < Ct 20 when < Ct 25 was the recommended WHO standard for an LFD. It doesn't make sense, along with 80% at levels Ct 9.8 to 41, very confusing. Ultimately if the VISITECT test could not achieve 100% at < Ct 25 it is comes no where near our S&S results. Avacta raised the LOD bar to < Ct 27 end of story.
Their test had to deliver a > 90% Sensitivity at < Ct 25 to have passed validation, so why beat about the bush with numbers that prove nothing. Move over for the test that provides proof we are the best.
Danaher must be lurking, considering Cytiva played a part in the development of the LFD. I believe Sir Al mentioned ongoing dialogue in America.
Danaher being one of the largest manufacturers of LFDs in North America will not let an opportunity like this pass them by.
A huge market with excellent exposure to the Avacta brand. Their manufacturing capacity has to be immense, factor their sales into the SP. It will be interesting too see which European manufacture comes forward.
China has a massive problem with pollution especially water, this is problem that will accelerate World wide. If utilizing Affimers helps by identifying viruses like covid early in water that can only benefit the World. This virus has killed many people, without good potable water we won't have to worry about anything, we won't exist anymore.
Maybe we should be looking at why China is attacking water pollution and learn.
DVRG are at this moment providing a service where your skin microbiome is analysed produced and details of what you should avoid and use on your skin provided. My grandson will benefit from this brilliant new technology, so DVRG really are helping with World problems. DYOR it's good for the soul.
The Gov cannot be that stupid ,standing by watching Avacta sell the gold standard LFD to Europe would be political suicide. In order to keep this virus under control in this Country the best LFD has to be deployed, we deserve the best, not the idiots running Europe.
The CEO is bending over backwards to achieve a British Sovereign test, in his own words he wants to supply us first and is in dialogue with the Government. Nobody is going to surpass the CV results produced by Avacta imo and that will secure British contracts, it's a no brainer. Officially we need the CE to happen, only then will the Government act, Chill and save your venom for the parasites attacking the SP. I despise these city gangsters more than the inept politicians.
Sorry lost the plot when PD was mentioned. ... of the Avacta validation test. Withdrew the test on the grounds it failed to meet WHO standards for an LFD. Avacta went to Spain and the CV was excellent 100% Sensitivity, that's how good PD are. How long do these people need to evaluate a test, Affimers work and have been proven to work. If the BT is using this reagent their should be good news.
PD made a complete ar-e of the
The Government are giving away LFDs free of charge so no commercial prospect at the moment for Avacta when our LFD is launched. A statement from yesterdays update, also on one of the slides it stated " Ongoing but slow dialogue with the DHSC/PHE. Solution we sell to Europe, an absolute stonker of a story for the opposing politicians. Boris and his team need to get their finger out before the sh.t hits the fan. Europe first to use British LFD that is far superior to any test being supplied by DHSC/PHE.
Order, Order, Order, the right Honourable Gentleman would like to announce once again Britain has provided a Gold Standard solution in the fight against covid. Avacta's LFD is the Sovereign Test would do for a start imo.
