Ben Richardson, CEO at SulNOx, confident they can cost-effectively decarbonise commercial shipping. Watch the video here.
We are being very brave with our test results, by going beyond the recognised WHO > 90% Ct 25 standard for LFDs Avacta have certainly raised the bar with these results. 98 positive samples provided, 31 with a Ct < 26 , 65 with Ct < 26 -30, and 2 with Ct < 30-31. Result 96/98 , we could have been forgiven if the 2 samples with the Ct < 30-31 were omitted giving us a 100% strike rate. logic would dictate the 2 failures were in the lower viral load category imo.
Taking this as a reasonable assumption, we should be doing summersaults on this news, however many blinkered opinions treat the news as disappointing. My view is 96 /96 Sensitivity at a range of Ct 1-30 is blowing the opposition out the water. PD is becoming as useful as a fart in a space suit and we should be thanking the CEO and his team in recognising where the weakest link exists.
Fact: The Innova test in Phase two trials in the Lab at PD used spiked saliva samples with the virus. At Ct 25.2 they were 5/5 100% Sensitivity, Ct 25.5 63/65 96%, and Ct 28.5 3/5 60% Sensitivity. Lab tests not CV results, the brain ticklers provided a hit and miss quality of sample depending on who administered the test. The test kit failure was 502/8951, the common reason being poor transfer of the liquid within the device from reservoir onto the test strip. To be fair their LFD Sensitivity was > 90% at a Ct< 25 a recognised valid test, but for how long.
The numbers do not lie, we have the best test, the best reagent, and the best man in the top job. Roll on Thursday.
Here we have a Diagnostic Company using Aptamers as their reagent and needing a machine to register results. Low volume tests using brain ticklers and being bought for $ 1.8 billion USD. We have Affimers in BAMS, ELISA, LFDs, in our Diagnostic locker and doubts remain about our future.
Luminex use Magnetic Beads coated with Aptamers, sound familiar, so why all the negativity surrounding Avacta. A lower quality reagent imo as proven with our best in class ELISA test using Affimers and better than all the LFDs using Aptamers. It's all about Affimers, are they excellent binders, are they a cheap reliable alternative to Antibodies in certain cases, will they dominate the Diagnostic market.
Somebody seems to think Aptamers will do the job and so they will, however one Company has a gold nugget that they will share with no one for the next ten years.
The doom and gloom brigade need to realise we are sitting on a gold mine here, if Aptamers are worth this kind of money we are all DOOMED to a life of PROSPERITY. So far have 24 in my doom and gloom box and there will be a few more after todays rants.
TEMPLAR your 50% accuracy is somewhat misleading, the Innova LFD has a 100% Sensitivity as well. It all depends on what viral load you are testing. In the case of any LFD the recognised viral load of < Ct25 has to achieve a Sensitivity of > 90% or it won't be a validated test. Innova's LFD has been validated by Porton Down and therefore meets the required standard.
Innova LFD has a 100% Sensitivity at <18 Ct however this is like your 50% figure, worthless.
PCR is referred to as the Gold Standard and yet the BMJ listed a PCR test of 205 patients in which the Sensitivity varied from 93% down to 63% depending upon the site and quality of the sample. Nasal swabs being the lowest figure, a minefield of stats which can be interpreted in various ways . Should we question the S&S of our Gold Standard and upset DEEKS ?
The fact is we have a test which blows Innova's LFD out of the water in terms of S&S and their test is recognised as being fit for purpose. Even a slight fall in our initial S&S figures still makes our test the BEST and we won't be able to satisfy demand imo. HAPPY DAYS.
Market Makers are TRADERS, all this crap they do a good job to stabilise the Market is bull****. They manipulate by SHORT SELLING, PLACING FAKE ORDERS, and many more underhand tricks. MMs caused this panic no doubt in my mind, if your have the license to use the tools at their disposal what fool would refuse to de-risk any deal.
This blatant show of arrogance by the MMs is an AIM issue that needs policing. A fair gamble is not what you get from any MM on AIM. If you believe the MMs involved in this share have not prospered by their actions over the last week go ask the fairy at the bottom of the garden when the RNS will drop.
Better still GOOGLE Market Maker and read what they get up to, you will be amazed, all fact no fairy tales .
40% better than the best LFT validated makes the Sensitivity around 94% according to my calculation. Pretty poor considering it needs a light based detection system. PCR / BAMS would blow this figure out of the water, it is a portable machine so has that advantage.
What we have here is a sub standard machine based test using the second best reagent Aptamers. Where is the logic in the reaction to their RNS. PATHETIC.
The Avacta / Deepverge partnership has the potential to prevent future lockdowns, a virtually unknow piece of kit so far under the radar it's shocking in light of what it can achieve. The Times today gave it a well deserved boost and predictably the Market responded with their usual apathy.
Modern Water / now part of DVRG has a range of wastewater, purifying , reverse osmosis plants in position throughout the World. The technology is in place and now their
According to some Avacta has once again missed the boat, Aptamer Group have taken over at Mologic and we are ditched. Aptamer group are at the LAB stage in validating their test, at least 3 months behind our test. So the logic in Mologic doesn't really apply, ditch a test which will have a CE mark in a few weeks for one with good LAB result. Outstanding, total genius, would you believe it.........NO.
Recommend if you believe the ditched theory you should look at Deepverge Micotox PD it deals with excrement in wastewater. Not fully compatible what comes out of peoples mouths at times however SH.TE all the same.
You must have a very low opinion of the CEO too believe what was said in the VOX interview was a pack of lies. Listen again and remember you are allowed to turn on the sound!!!
This is my take on what will be revealed in Tuesdays meeting . Paul Hill will continue his analogy of Sir AL and his Symphonic rendition. Paul will be seated at his piano in full penguin gear bolted down securely to his stool as the maestro belts out his latest aria. The show will close with a massive firework display and the SP will rocket into the stratosphere. Happy Days.
Spot on MattD , Avacta produced an Affimer inhibitor way back in June last year, described by Prof. David Bhella of Glasgow Uni as a potent inhibitor of the virus entry into human cells. So by the end of this year we will know if Affimers are safe in humans via Doxorubicin. When using an approved drug to deliver the Affimer phase 3 testing timescales will be reduced. The CEO verified this fact in his latest Vox interview.
Once Affimers are proven to be safe in humans the door then opens to produce an inhibitor to neutralise the virus. We have a test capable of reducing the infection rate, the prospect of eradicating the need to hospitalise people is a major step forward. Finally we can introduce stem cell therapy for long covid with AffyXell. Test / Inhibit / Cure, we appear to have covered all the bases in challenging this virus. The virus mutates , Affimers are produced to deal with the problem. Mind boggling what this Company can achieve in the future. Sir Patrick should do some research on Avacta, his glass would would change from half full to dribbling down his chin.
Chesh, caught the last 30 seconds of some Professor talking about wastewater, it was on the Scottish update for Covid programme around noon today. Have just tried to watch it on catch up, not responding so far.
Finally, BBC Scotland news reported exciting new technology where Covid could be detected in Wastewater. Not only could they locate the area they said the BUILDING it came from. Went on to say how this could prevent future lockdowns , acting quickly to prevent the spread. No company names mentioned however we all know who it is, maybe the turning point on the media front. It' s a start, onwards and upwards.
Aptamer Group has extended their agreement with AstraZeneca, their aim is to identify novel targeting Aptamers which deliver drug molecules into the kidney. A familiar story developing around Antibody mimics, we imo have the gold standard in Affimers. Where we go from here is beyond comprehension. Happy Days.
No mention on the latest Business update ref the collaboration with DeepVerge to provide Affimers for MictrotoxPD & BT. A waste water and breathalyser test for covid. Both are in phase 3 trials with results expected very soon making this another possible success story for Avacta. The University of Aberdeen has been involved providing live virus samples and they are many months into field trials / data collection. Both tests have been very much under the radar, huge potential no interest. The prospect of three covid tests using Affimers going to market is on the cards .
Excellent video. Magnificent CEO, Brilliant Company, and an interviewer rushing out to buy shares. No wonder the SP is on the rise , Paul will get a job as Head of Marketing. We complain about the lack of presentation and getting the message out there and here we have a man talking Symphonies and Mozart. One of the best analogies I've heard in a long time. The part where Al said TMAC was the area ALL the BIG Pharma's were interested in makes me wonder how this could pan out. I wonder if Mozart has a piano in that big new house of his, sitting there composing an aria for his next performance, .music to my ears.
T.Rat / Bella given all the facts in Dvrg / Avacta RNS information I find it astonishing Avacta would omit the Breath Test as one of their Operational Highlights. To be fair they never mentioned Wastewater as well, which may well support your opinion on the breath test. Based my assumptions on this mornings Avacta RNS , with so much hype on the LFD you would expect Phase 3 trials of the breath test to get a mention. Wastewater I could understand , it's way under the radar for whatever reason, doesn't make any sense. Dvrg / Avacta have massive potential imo. one day the penny will drop, good luck for what looks like very exciting times.
My guess would be the connection between HuffPost UK spouting half truths about Avacta and the yanks version over there. Can anyone find an America version of what was printed, maybe they mentioned the Cytiva /Avacta collaboration.
The breath test uses Aptamers as a reagent not Affimers, Dvrg also use Aptamer Group on their Wastewater detection system. Avacta's sole collaboration with Dvrg is Wastewater, waiting for field test results, should be due anytime is a favourite call.
Pure speculation by a so called respected " I'll Huff and I"ll Puff and I"ll blow out my a... journalist has not only made the parasites in the City LOADS A MONEY his half truths probably cost many punters as well.
