Tig, somehow I, and many others, must have missed your Peter Alliss post otherwise I, and the many others, would surely have commented. Never knew the gentleman, and have never ventured onto a golf course for about 60 years as I quickly recognized a game I would be consumed by. He was a generation of the greats which we all sadly miss; John Arlott, Bill Mclaren, Dan Maskell, to name but a few. These were people from the radio with the rare ability to paint a picture in your mind. Will we see there like again?
To comply with relevant posts, for some, we appear to be Duke of Yorked; neither up nor down. Stay Safe.
The Learner, good luck with your investment and fully appreciate your underlying concern which I, and many others, went through when Newcrest 'walked' in '18. IMO most of us come to this, and boards of other companies, to hold each other's hands; we are 99% convinced we are on a winner which is why we sit on our hands, not risking trading a few for fear of losing our shares, then regret not having the bottle to do so. It's just that very human back of the mind niggle from the 1% negative thoughts that bothers us which brings us to the BB for reassurance from our fellows. I feel 99% certain that you've made a sound investment and always grateful to witness the 1% of others. Stay Safe
Just had the above, mainly to protect others as well as my household bubble. Do not listen to the heedless and inexorable. Did not have a heart attack, not gone blind, and our local care homes (my neighbour is a cook in one) are virtually back to normal. Now, there seems a chance to top up here; the question is when? Get Jabbed, and Stay Safe.
Off subject, so apologies to those with a one track minds. Turned on the news this morning to find (t)rump aquitted and America guilty of dereliction of duty. God help us all if he returns, even by proxy, in 4 years. Stay Safe.
Greg25, you will go a long way before a better board is found. However, every so often a poster, whom is best regarded as an egoistical plonker, comes along who insists on making obvious and unnecessary comments, i.e. it's Wednesday today. As another pointed out, in a more amusing way than I, such opinions are best expressed, and kept, to oneself. Another green line I'm afraid. Stay Safe.
Grayling, please support your allegation of corporate failure with facts i.e. where and when this failure occurred and, if you feel so inclined, any alternative action you may feel, from your inferred corporate knowledge, should have been taken. SS, UU.
Good news for us; read our holding summary wrongly, only £52,126 down not £65,126. 'Just made £13k', so trolls, it just shows how easy it is t make money with UKOG !!!!! SS, UU.
Johncook, we are 81%, £65,126 down. I read the prospectus , I made to decision to invest, therefore any short term errors of judgement are mine and mine alone. I do not moan about it neither do I seek to blame others for any errors \of judgement I MAY have made in the SHORT term. I remain confident that my original judgement re: SS and UKOG will bear fruit. I seldom read this BB nowadays due to the fact it is full of moaners and /or trolls, thus I have mostly green lines which is about to increase quite dramatically. SS, UU.
Absolutely agree Rosewall; the map of Great Britain looks like England and Wales with Scotland on it's back, unaltered in years. Soon, possibly, might be Scotland the wave, bye, Bye. Stay Safe, just ordered my Donald Russell beef.
Well put JoeBass, however I do believe that the Bard put it ever so slightly better.
'There is a tide in the affairs of man which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune...............' Stay Safe.
TakingMyTime, if it does you good to pour your heart out do so. I have not given an opinion as I feel it would insult your painful story. May your God be with you over the coming festive period. Stay Safe.
