Yes risky, agreed. However, 93% of my portfolio is at a price above what I paid for it (guess which 93%), the other 7% is down or currently suspended on the stock market. So I'm either p*ss poor at this game (which is very possible!) or I've called it right here :) We will find out in months to come! gla

Thanks PopeUrbanII I am very much in the same position! Will endevour to build further understanding of ACP and graphite and where that is heading. At the moment I'm invested for an amount I could comfortably lose!

mjb606 I'm at 93% presently. For my own risk management I determined that 95% to be 'overweight' at which point I need to rebalance. So a couple more top ups allowed :)

Interested if we have anybody invested in both and where they see risk/reward relatively speaking? Not trying to push either share I have a miniscule holding in ACP and a gigantic holding in HZM and they appear on the face of it to be in relatively similar points in the cycle - pre financing with production a year or two away. ACP has a higher IRR and lower capex but Horizonte have more cash on the books and perhaps more institutional support. Interested in views of people and where (relatively) they place their chips on these two opportunitites.

ihowells don't kid yourself - I had my final top up last September (after Orion) or so I thought. Been topping up some more ever since. Best strategy here is not to stop topping up until the daddy RNS lands :)

1. 'nickel project waiting in the wings' is exactly how I would describe Vermelho and
2. 'if funding can be secured' is hopefully what the BOD of Horizonte are 110% applied to and so therefore
3. 'meeting this rising demand will be a challenge for the industry' we will be very happy to help the industry overcome this challenge, for a suitable price of course....

All IMO! There is no doubt the picture looks very sweet indeed after 2025 but I guess we need to walk before we run here :) Will it be financing Araguaia that is the next major step on this journey (or will it be a deal on Vermelho). Find out soon no doubt!

Robbo closer we get to production the better the correlation I would expect with Nickel price itself of course which is forecast to rise solidly around 2023+. But the markets the market and it is irrational! Finance is the key de-risking step after which we should see a rerate and I think thereafter we should start reflecting NPV a bit better which will of course be determined in time by the Nickel price. ATB.

The build was meant to be 2 yrs so I assumed h2 2022. Now the financing is (arguably) pushed back a tad and they wouldnt immediately have reached full steady state production from build I am looking at 2023 for full 14.5kt production or thereabouts.

Right own up which ii is it this time.....

If it happens to me with Horizonte it'll be because I sold at 35p before it went to £1.20. But I won't care about it by then because 35p x holdings is enough, I wouldn't know what to do with any more money.....

Dogberry I will put you on the list in the right place when I have your estimate! It's a placeholder. I would ask for a range but then it gets more complicated if we have new entrants which intersect the range.

share trading is a bit like fishing (for any fishermen out there). It's always the one that got away that bugs you the most (but also gives you the best stories with your mates in pubs).
Horizonte for me will be the one that didn't get away :-) Determined about that.

pickedpeck - I thought I'd played it smart walking away with around £250k Barclays at 90p sold. Course they hit £3.50 odd later that year (2009 I think). At that time (and still now) that would have been life changing sum and I bottled the rise and took profit.

or I don't know if by foreseeable mean what can be foreseen? I can't really tell what will happen but it's going to be good. If they sell to Teck this year then one takes ones winnings and - well parties at dj's pub or invests in the next Horizonte or spread the risk among other stocks I guess. A nice Tesla to boot from the next gen?

600Thieves my goal and I'm steeled for it this time is 3-5 years unless it sells. My partner and I own 21m (exactly after my top up this morning again) and no intention to sell a single one I've made financial plans for that period without needing to. Only because twice in my life before I've sold life changing stocks which I knew would come good but couldn't hold (or made the mistake of selling for lesser profit). So foreseeable for me is 5 years and I absolutely believe Nickel will be flying, we will have a mine (or two running) or we would have sold the co. 5yrs is a good time horizon to work with, I've been invested here already and this time around in stocks generally since 2013 (originally started in late 90s).

Dream scenario for me is still your investment back in divi/yr in 5+ yrs time a year.

Ivornomoney I've got no money (pun intended) but my mate just bought some on that rec so lets see! I'm all in Horizonte with all the money I don't need before the end of next week when Ms Wasarunner is sadly parting with all our cash to buy our caravan. Apparently caravan parks might open in July. Sadly the daytrading pot then simultaneously disappears and I'm left watching Horizonte's ebbs and flows for the foreseeeable....

For me Vermelho news this year would be a gamechanger because I wasn't expecting it. It may just have become more likely for two reasons:
- CV and
- CV
CV has depressed the wider market and nickel prices so Horizonte may need to leverage it to get deal done on Araguaia. CV has shut down oil demand and cars generally and manufacturers and countries have used it to review their plans/policies on the way forward. All IMO.
