Point well taken of course but I think I am right in saying that some long term (and long suffering) shareholders who have seen 10 or more years of their lives disappear, might take the view that a "Bird in the Hand" beats the bejeesus out of "Jam tomorrow".

Forgot to add that now the mini euphoria has subsided and the analyst Johnnies have had time to view the results in detail, SP tumbling and down over 4% since its high of yesterday.
Where DOES the company go from here.
"Concentrating on our core businesses" is an oft quoted management phrase designed, presumably, to make shareholders feel that warm glow of confidence, but IMO in this case it masks the fact that the BoD must be asking themselves the question I have just posed.

My letter to my MP went off yesterday after a bit of fine-tuning by way of adding a comment to the effect that any fine imposed on "the Company" is, in reality taking shareholders' hard earned savings and giving them to the Government i.e. yet another form of back door taxation.

Incidentally one letter from me ain't going to make a jot of difference I feel BUT if all you good folk out there wrote to your MP's registering your feelings about the way the SFO is still b.......g
about after nearly 4 years it might, just might make a difference. Doing nothing is tantamount to
condoning sheer pettifogging bureaucracy, so PLEASE folks- do your bit for the cause.

The Guardian article doesn't exactly paint a rosy picture of the SFO with allegations of misconduct by Osofsky and other officials and the unfair sacking of a prosecutor.
If it was a private organisation heads would roll but as it is a Government Dept.????

Out of a sense of the above, (and much good may it do me!), I have written to my MP expressing my anger at the way this Govt. Dept. is still sodding around after nearly 4 years, pointing out the loss of confidence and, ergo, new orders, and the massive loss, nearly £2.8 billion pounds, of shareholders' money. I pointed out also that the SFO is renowned for its blunders, including censure by a Judge of its Director for unprofessional behaviour and being sued by HMRC, and requesting that he does all in his power to bring the SFO to account, preferably in front of a Commons Select Committee.
OK maybe I'm after the Holy Grail in some eyes, but if you don't ask you don't stand any chance of receiving.

Predicting the SP of this share is tantamount to trying to herd goldfish. Bit of negativity in the news-like a bird after a heavy intake of rock cake-bit of good news- varies, seemingly, in line with who made the announcement.

Dead right Winchpete. I reckon they have been scratching around for a long time now and are scared stiff of yet another Tchenguiz Brothers fiasco, which cost the taxpayers £3million, as well as their other blunders such as being fined by HMRC for VAT irregularities. Kafka must be rocking with laughter in his grave.
