Dunno what correlation one can deduce but since the Buyback commenced the FTSE 100 has advanced 4.9% but
Aviva's SP has advanced only 3.4% DESPITE the disappearance of around 6% of the shares in issue.
As I said before one can only hope the BoD would not enter into any transaction where they would come out sustaining a personal loss, however UNLESS my calcs. below are way out I can not see we will be any better off after this corporate wangling despite being "given" £1 per share, unless the SP advances to about £5.80.

Present SP say £4.35 x 1,000 shares= £4,350
To achieve £4,350 on 25% less shares i.e.£4,350/750= SP of £5.80

Seems to me I am missing something but it is Monday after all!

PH is a sick joke-they saw the BoD coming a mile away. Parker and his much trumpeted City expertise must have been absent on negotiation day (and most of the time it seems- what DOES he do for £58k pa of our money?)
