Nearly 3 millions shares have changed hands in 2 hours of which 55% are Buys so maybe there are folk still jumping in-I wish them luck as well-as a sufferer of over 3 years I can assure them they are going to need it although maybe some day traders looking to make a buck or two once the MM's have stopped wetting themselves.

Market confidence in Man is still extremely shaky and Manny and his Merry Men seem incapable of doing anything about it. Their "remuneration" increased substantially last year-about time they started earning it.

"The Greek crisis was back in the news with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) indicating that it was very wary of making any financial contribution to the latest bailout plan and insisting again that there needs to be debt restructuring." I'm afraid this will rumble on for a long time. Everyone knows that is is just putting off the evil day when it is finally acknowledged that Greece will never pay off its debts. It smacks of the lending to South American states which took off back in the 1970's when Walter Wriston, the CEO of Citibank, made the astounding observation that it was impossible for a country to "go broke". Subsequent events have proved that he was having a bad day.

Well they certainly are not looking at AHL. 8 from 15 funds are now in negative territory for 2015 YTD after a great performance for 2014 showing gains of between 26 and 31%. So, it seems AHL functions well only on rising markets and collapses once markets decline. Ergo, it is still the millstone round Man's ( and our) necks.

Me too!! I bought in several years ago at a price which would have you helpless with laughter!! Should have bailed out at 217p and taken the hit as I can't see Man reaching that SP again on present showing especially as AHL has faltered badly after seemingly being on the recovery trail in 2014.

Well this has turned out to be a real Lulu hasn't it? Loses nearly 25% of its market value in one day and now trading at a 30% discount to its offer price in just over 4 months with just promises of "jam tomorrow"

Couldn't agree more+ frustrating. I think these guys have lost the plot especially on AHL. It had a dazzling year in 2014 when markets were ascending rapidly, but the recent downturn has shown it to be what it is-just an investment fund, no more no less, AND still a drag on Man's fortunes despite the efforts of Manny and His Merry Men

This should have been addressed to Fatlad I am a tad bemused about your bullish comments on AHL (especially the one about AHL "is still a whopping 1.45")-perhaps you can explain? As I see it AHL's stellar performance of 2014 continued into 2015 until a few weeks ago when it started to decline and has done so rapidly ever since. Three new funds introduced in 11/14, 1/15 and 4/15 are under water to the tune of 2.2%,2.6% and a massive 10.1% respectively and the rest are fast approaching parity after showing gains in 2015 of nearly 12%.Overall 39 from 206 Man Funds are "under water" of which 20 were introduced during the bull market of 2014,so I am a tad hard pressed to concur with your comment "....when the business is handled as well as it is" Maybe I have got it completely wrong but to me the figures don't look good and the market has reacted accordingly.
