RE: SFO told to get a wiggle on15 Mar 2019 08:38
Hi Kenj
Apols. if I mistreated your comment but I did say, in parenthesis,"or it would be if it was not so close to the truth!"
I too view the shambling monolith, known as the SFO, as a prime example of Civil Service bumbling ineptitude, totally oblivious to and uncaring about the damage their "investigations" cause to small shareholders and pension funds alike.
They are grasping at straws with Petrofac but have still managed to stretch it out to nearly 2 years and I feel it unlikely that the limp slap on the wrist by the House of Bores will make any difference whatsoever. Petrofac themselves have said they will not be issuing any more comment on the case, to avoid rocking the boat presumably, but the time must come when the SFO, at minimum, produce some form of progress report. How we go about getting that to happen I don't know but I would have thought a letter backed by a majority of the shareholders must be considered as a starting point.
