Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Usual 'scare' tactics appearing should Labour look like winning the next general election.
I hear everyone will be made to work until they draw their state pension at 80, and every public building will be required to fly a red flag. Could make up lots more. Idiots on here would believe everything.
"Ooo - Eligible customers will receive about £100 directly into their accounts in June - careful now - don't blow it all at once"
I've only got a rarely used current account and a tiny monthly saver. The £100 equates to over 20% return. Wouldn't mind that on all my investments.
Mr_Bobby- "Should I be more optimistic?". Yes. Although you might just try 'realistic'.
"I guess you haven't noticed the growing support for the EU, now well in excess of 60%" - In my straw poll it's over 90%. Guess it depends who you ask. I doubt The Daily Mail would come up with the same figure.
We do live in a democracy. We voted to leave the EU. We can vote for those finding a way of returning. But please, not through a referendum.
Carltt - If the seller on the 21/3 had waited another 2 or 3 weeks, they could have got 2p more per share.
If the seller on the 13/12 has waited until mid- February, they could have got about 9p more per share.
The seller on the 24/2 made a good call.
People sell their shares for all sorts of reasons. I think you're correct to take their buys and sells into account, but I wouldn't put too much weight on it.
Well I seem to have made a fair bit from the ups and downs of the Lloyds SP.
Blb - with your attitude, to you think you're cut out for this sort of investment?
All as expected. Don't expect a radical SP move.
“Those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” Winston Churchill.
Too true, but not an original sentìment. Coleridge put it better and more poetically:
"If men could learn from history, what lessons it might teach us. But passion and party blind our eyes, and the light which experience gives us is a lantern on the stern, which shines only on the waves behind us.”
"jitters over for those who were jittery?" - Nearly, I think, LTI. One more dip 'cos it's Friday before a Bank Holiday and I'm probably in again.
"cant see home owners voting for the labour loons" - Paulh40 - you think this comment is idiotic. Read back on other comments over the last few days, weeks, months and years. I don't mean comments where one might happen to disagree, I can respect those. Some comments are so banal, twisted, misinformed and senseless as be beyond comprehension.
The next general election could be over 18 months away. A lot can happen in 18 months. Will people be exercising their affiliations and unsupported prejudices for the next 18 months on the Lloyd's chat site?
"Labour will be devastating for shareholders to think otherwise is simply delusional. " - If you really think that, sell up. Don't wait until it's too late.
Carltt - I guess most on here have had the sense to filter all your childlike comments. With your attitude and the emotional instabilities that come through your posts, do you think share dealing is really for you. It doesn't matter if shares go up or down in value, sensible investors just adjust their portfolios. Sell on perceived highs, buy on lows. The current banking 'crisis', led by the US, will resolve itself. Many will look back and wonder why they didn't sell and buy back in as the Lloyd's SP dropped. But if you have an investment portfolio, good luck with it. You probably need all the luck you can get.
"....and no amount of Remainer moaning will change that." - Stop moaning fleccy.
The fallout from leaving the EU will go on for some time. I know being reminded of it is tiresome, but so is the moaning about the moaning.
Wouldn't surprise me if the markets honed in on the drop in deposits. I'm already seeing phrases like "fell sharply". They actually fell by 2.2bn, or less than half of 1%.
Grayling- "Except of course for the average geriatric, mortgage and (now) child free middle class Tory voter. LOL"
How dare you. I don't necessarily vote Tory.

"Pathetic whiney little socialist".
And we're back in the schoolyard. Iggypop - grow up.
"Labour government your thoughts"?
I suspect those who care little or nothing for anybody but themselves will be horrified at the prospect of a Labour government.
Groupthink - "HOW MANY LIES WILL THE SHEEP SWALLOW ?". You would appear to have swallowed them all. Good luck in your twisted fantasy world.
