The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
livepari4 - "the chat board sounds so much more readable and better quality after i filtered about 15 users who would discuss topics totally unrelated to lloyds."
i quite agree. the numerous green lines indicate the ******, misogynistic, hate driven individuals, most of whom appear rooted somewhere in the mid-20th century, are still posting heavily. filtering not only makes it easy to avoid them but, by having no truck with their senseless and frequently ungrammatical drivel, can seriously improve one's quality of life.
Jcb208 - "Come on Donkey another 10% to go at 52p"
About 1% to 52p
Loads of green lines this morning. Looks like the foul-mouthed, grammatically challenged bigots are out in force today.
I'll usually defend an individual's right to say what they want, but also defend the right not to listen. I suggest anyone fed up with them on this site simply filter them all and leave them to jabber away to each other.
FALCONER-FLYER...Are you sure you are on the correct chat site? Semi-literate braggarts usually find their home on the Lloyds chat site. Wasting your life shooting birds might appeal to some on the Lloyds site. I suspect it doesn't here.
Gate13Boy - Will this Lloyds chat site be treated to your predictive gibberish between now and the next general election? If only all those promising to leave the country should there be a Labour government actually kept their promises. Bur I fear they will not.
"I recommend the lloyds bb to anyone who wishes to detract from the subject of RR and talk a load of blx."
I fully agree with that comment. Some of the daftest folk appear to have adopted the Lloyd's site for their inane ramblings. Hope they don't drift into RR.
Micro - "bloviated". Perfect word to use for many on this site. I suggest you just filter the worst of them. Leave them to waste their time with each other.
Final divi likely to be 5.4p, giving 8.1p on the year, or about 5.4% on the current SP. Not too bad should inflation fall below 5%, but not particularly sparkling.
HumptyDumpty - "I have never filtered anyone on any platform ever before, but I have just filtered Carltt."
I've only ever filtered 2, one of which was Carltt. Which isn't bad going when you see some of the idiots posting on here. They don't appear on other sites, or perhaps I've just been missing them.
That's interesting. Thanks for that Brighty1
Brixton - Farage - "CEO of Farage Banking Corporation".
Bet he wouldn't want himself as a customer.
LTI - "I could see the plus of £3.9 Billion of pre tax profits coming into the coffers and the plus of a 15% dividend increase, and the plus of forward profitability being on course to afford another substantial 2024 share repurchase programme"
I too could see things. Seems like one or two on this site have overly focused on the negatives, which the sp also appears to be reflecting at the moment.
Results not too far off 'as expected'. Divi - acceptable. Forward looking - fairly encouraging. Hope the buy-backs restart after this sp fall. Should do.
Skier1 - I know what to expect from left leaning media, and what to expect from right leaning media. No point in getting hysterical about either. Sensible folk form a balanced view. I and my family all live in the UK. Why on earth would we want to see the country failing? In response to Ritchie, I was simply questioning the assumptions about certain people wanting the country to fail. The UK will shortly, and at some cost, be rejoining the EU science hub. Even though this will be good for my family, good for science and good for the country, should I assume that all 'leavers' will be opposed to the move?
Richie.... "Terrible day for the media. Inflation down and a multi billion pound investment in the UK.
Remoaners crying into their smashed avocado"
I know of no remain voters who aren't pleased by the two bits of information you mention. Who is it you still waffle on about?
I quite agree LTI. Banks shouldn't have to justify their interest rates any more than Tesco's should have to justify their Hobnobs being more expensive than Sainsbury's. What happened to freedom of choice? If the consumer isn't satisfied, go elsewhere.
I quite agree skier1. Always better to deal with what is rather than how you'd like things to be. Reminiscing about the days one could just go to any EU country without giving a thought to visas is just nostalgia. That freedom was voted away.
Carltt - Congratulations, you will be just the second person I've filtered on this chat forum. Not because I might happen to disagree with you, I don't mind that, but because you come across as having nothing to say and project yourself as being quite stupid. I suggest others do the same and leave you to prattle on alone. Goodbye!

"To clarify. We both have the same faulty spell checker on auto correct. Mine puts in the words "tax evasion" when I really mean "tax avoidance". It also changes the words " Nigel Farage" to "lying scheming bar steward" for some strange reason."
I'm out of touch with Farage. He's probably no longer backing Johnson's or Trump's fantasies and lies. Who is he supporting now, until their untruths are laid bare?
BigG321 - Many on this Board have a considerable amount of emotional energy invested in their Brexit delusions. There's not much point in trying to get them to see things differently. But well done for trying.
