Sharing the disappointment with you all today.
Given overall market slump (inflation now at its peak in UK also) today would have been great timing.
But, my original thoughts (with my healthcare communications background) that Brooke is putting all the textbook launch comms in place before results day still stands.
They launched the site only last week. There are still bugs (I can't sign up to the news still) Web launches need a few weeks to sort out all niggles. The world will hear of Synairgen, I believe, when every i is dotted and t crossed.
But 1 more week (even 2) will allow for the foundations to be PROPERLY laid, a refined + possibly co-ordinated RNS (RM himself stated they're immensely complicated) because it's much better to be completely ready, NO holes at all - rather than push it out there (like big phrama could) because SYN know they'll be scrutinised much more as a david against goliath.
It's tense. And no wonder it's descending into rows on the board.
But I am thankful to have this space as support, and people who 'get it'.
Not long now. Wish you all a good day.
UK Dragon's Den, Aus investor, Richard Farleigh....backs Synairgen.
Found when searching for new SYN roles on Linked In:
"Richard has operated as a “business angel”, backing more early-stage companies than anyone else in the United Kingdom. Many of these more than 100 unquoted companies have successfully floated on the market or have been acquired. Highlights include Home House, Net-a-Porter, Synairgen, Wolfson Microelectronics, Reggae Reggae Sauce, Adarga and Innovative Physics."
Listed next to Net a Porter - they did pretty alright :)
And the last time he tweeted was back in Feb 2021 and it was to say this:
"I wrote about @synairgen back in 2012 In my newspaper column – anyone seen what’s happened since ? :-) And yes, maybe governments should have it stockpiled"
Indeed, goverernments. And I wonder what Farleigh thinks now :)
I then went down a wormhole and read his original article singing Synairgen's praises back in 2012 when he was "still as optimistic as ever"
https://www.cityam.com/healthy-dose-british-ingenuity-money-patents-and-patience-2/
"Still more trials are needed, which could involve partnering with a big pharmaceutical company, but they’ve made huge steps towards a possible treatment against a broad range of viruses for a vulnerable population. The company has also become more confident that a similar treatment could be effective for things like bronchitis and emphysema (smokers’ curses), and it could even be stockpiled by governments as a defence against unknown strains such as bird flu. Eight years on, and I am as optimistic as ever"
Not hugely informative, but scratches my Synairgen info itch, as we wait for P3 results on my daughter's birthday on Monday :)
Have a great weekend all.
As a communications profession of 15 years, I find great comfort in seeing the campaign Brooke is leading in the run up to results day.
It’s similar to many I’ve been involved in previously. Web launch, daily tweets signposting to site for awareness raising. Case studies on board members.
They’re doing things properly. Brooke is excellent. I feel so reassured by this :) No doubt they’d be lining up press releases behind the scenes with the media too, all takes time when done thoroughly.
I’d love for P3 results day to be on Monday 24th (my daughters birthday) But wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a week or so more of lead up comms.
I've led many website rebrands - it's a laborious, costly task - there's no way that effort would be made if it was a no-goer. IMO.
Agreed - what a super sleuth!
Why on earth do the company put the name of the buyer in the product title? Big error on their part surely and data protection breach even?
If I’m buying a load of booze, I don’t want my name/company name on the internet.
If this is the case, please search for “Dom Perignon Boris Johnson Garden Party” :)
Great find and thread, thank you
To answer recent post re. who predicted 11th
Heleb
I hope you’re right. I am fatigued with this wait.
A watched pot never boils and all that but I can’t stop checking
That's helpful Andy, thanks
Oh Fruits, why? It's simply hawkward and unpheasant.
Toucan play that game :)
(send help)
Pleaaaase, I beg, no more puns! :s
£10 :)
Silly, yes but lighthearted and we need a bit of that right now.
When will results drop day be?
I want it to be next week (as does my blood pressure) but I'm going to go for 20 Jan
Ndn, I’m in comms. They’ve got Brook who, if you check her LinkedIn is a perfect candidate. She’s experienced in all things pharma + censure and what to say, and not to say.
It’s like watching a demonstration of a perfect PR and communications exercise.
They are the real deal
Agreed Doc. I am obsessively checking and think it's time to go cold turkey for a little while, for sanity purposes
Andy, you’re often provocative on here. Surely you must see that? If this post was a lighthearted jibe at those who expected an RNS, it came off as angry and panicky.
I am 90% invested here. We, and many of our doctor friends are in the same.
The science is sound. One of the founders became SIR Stephen Holgate. Interferon classified as an anti-viral. It’s all good.
Yes, we’re all on tenterhooks. I don’t know what I’ll do with my time when I won’t be constantly checking share prices + this message board, but adding to the tensions and angst isn’t helping anyone on here.
That said, the creative clap backs to Andy have made me spit out my tea with laughter on more than one occasion, so it’s not all bad :)
Good luck all
Same here, at 204. Good luck everyone.
I have utter faith in this company + the science.
Graham - agreed. Woodstock, I’m sure she missed out hugely here, you sound like such a respectful person
Current vacancy on Synairgen's website. Note the PERMANENT role :) and 'experience in late stage CMC regulatory submissions'. Roll on read out early 2022. I'm making SYN bunting as we speak :)
Director of CMC
Synairgen Research Limited is a drug discovery and development company specialising in respiratory diseases. Following positive clinical trial results in a Phase II study with the antiviral drug SNG001 (an inhaled formulation of recombinant Interferon beta) in hospitalised COVID-19 patients, Synairgen is currently conducting a global Phase III trial, which is set to readout in early 2022.
The key challenge for the CMC team will be the scale-up of manufacturing and supply of IFN-Beta including development of a global manufacturing network. A skilled and experienced individual with the required CMC knowledge is sought, with specific experience in late stage CMC regulatory submissions, comparability studies, technology transfer and rapid introduction of large scale manufacturing.
An opportunity has arisen within the company for a permanent, experienced Director of CMC, responsible for co-ordinating commercial and clinical manufacturing. Working alongside the existing Director of CMC, this newly created role will be leading the CMC activities for the company throughout the product lifecycle. The job function will report into the Senior Vice President of CMC and is home office based with a competitive package.
Key Skills and Experience required for the role
At least 15 years' experience in CMC and late stage product development
essess - wish you a speedy recovery. I feel so proud too, having had Covid last year... this is such an honourable company.
