Can someone remind me of the process to attend? I'm invested via HL
Was up late researching and realised I hadn’t seen RM’s interview with Proactive. https://rb.gy/wl0ws
RM @ 1.06: “Later this year we’ll be starting a series of clinical trials that ultimately takes us towards registration studies”
3.35: “we’ve put together a series of very focussed clinical trials”
Wording here: a SERIES of clinical trials taking them TOWARD registration studies…so trials done not at the same time but one following the other LEADING to registration studies.
Phase II. Clinical Trials are also called Proof of Concept (https://rb.gy/6b3vp) Phase III is then essentially Regulatory Proof “to prove drug’s benefit in large targeted patient population with the disease - efficacy, monitor side effects, and comparing the drug candidate to commonly used treatments”
Synairgen already have proof of concept with SNG001 against Covid with P2 success. So they’re planning multiple additional phase 2 trials with other viral respiratory illnesses with high risk groups, to see what else sticks? As the aims have shifts to broad spectrum now?
Also Registrational studies can someone enlighten me on this. Either this term was used to remain purposefully vague (as it can allude to any study leading them to registration, right?) or it was used as perhaps with enough evidence there can be a quicker, route to market than a long drawn out P3?
Also series of yet more trials then a P3 (or multiple P3s) is going to take many years surely?! And a fundraise because multiple trials on 20m?!
2.56 when he talks about data findings:
“coupling that together with conversations with key opinion leaders and clinical experts, who look after patients who become very ill with these respiratory viruses, we’ve been able to identify these high risk populations and then combine all that information and put it together as a clinical development plan that ultimately will take us towards phase 3 trials and registration.
When asked about cash position (20m in bank and what does this mean for the next 6 - 12 months) - 3.35:
“Well it allows us to get on with this work - so we’ve put together a series of very focussed clinical trials that we’ll be doing ourselves as a sponsor but also with investigators leading the trials - and these trials will be starting in the second half of this year. So it’s all about delivery and conversion, the work we’ve done to identify which patients are at highest risk and to start generating new data.
These TRIALS are they P2, P3? Second half of this year - from June onwards - they must already be designed and have agreement with end points and Investigators.
Perhaps something will be revealed in the conference, which is more heavily promoted than others they have attended.
Just hopped on here and saw my posts were deleted, along with The Paladin's.
How'd this happen? Someone reported it I assume? Surely someone at LSE looks at the reported post and weighs up whether it's worthy of deleting first.
Otherwise, AndyB would have zero oportinity to spout his toxic rants. Have we all just green binned him and no one is reporting the posts?
Just intrigued. I posted nothing offensive. It was actually my first real proper "I've had it with SNG" post - so interesting it was swiftly removed.
LSE, what's the deal here?
AndyB - King Narcissist of LSE
You're absolutely stark raving bonkers - I find your posts fascinating and am unaffected by them aside from this!
Pretty lacklustre RNS. Expecting to be on a trial in 2nd half of the year. Just like they were in winter!
Nice find
Doc daneeka, yes - the way this is easily understood by the average Joe takes a fair amount of expertise.
I only speak from my experience - if I was leading a campaign ramping up to promotion of a clinical trial it would look a bit like this. I'm reassured a little by it (not enough to further lower my average mind)
Of course their aim is for a clinical trial so I get that this could be considered marketing activity as usual...but if there's tumbleweed behind the scenes in this area, why have this as a focus?
Brooke would have a designer/agency briefed to work on this - particularly with the new animation, it's a fair amount of work - not something just shoved up to make it look like you're doing something/anything. Sophisticated comms with purpose...time will tell.
9 hours ago - website page shared via Linkedin with 3 separate slick animations describing the science.
Is this update of the page/ animations new?
They're still active in their comms - albeit not the update we desperately want as PIs.
The web page they shared reads like a story....and at the end - Clinical Trials...feels like a 'to be continued' very shortly:
https://rb.gy/xspgrk
Might just be me grasping at straws but after a long time in the comms world, combined with the SP rise and (unusual) announcement of cash update via RNS, this is a campaign leading somewhere soon...IMO
I truly hope so.
One way or another, put us out of our misery.
I was tempted to average down further at 8p (still am now) but £1 average suits me just fine. Well, it doesn't when the SP is at 16p but you know what I mean.
Good luck to the decent folk on here.
How have they been leaky? I'd say quite the opposite
jonnyboy, sorry to hear that.
I'm £26k down, partner £35k.
Dudio that made me chuckle.
Aether, thank you for the sound, logical post and positive points to remember.
To say is a stressful share is understatement of the century. Now feels like the worst time of all - we've just had the anniversary of what was let's face it a trauma for most of us here, then dropping SP, it being 2 days till the end of winter.
Spouse and I both heavily in and have been bickering no end (not as bad as on here mind!)
I can't bear to truly lose this cash, and admit defeat. But we were, quite frankly, reckless with our finances. We had the medical knowledge and all the stats and everything pointed to it flying through. No point berating self but also it's hard not to.
Desperately want to know one way or another - it's bloody agonising. PRAYING this comes good for all of us - and for the people it can help.
Best of luck all...lets gird our loins for the final stretch. That, or Valium.
Anyone with HL and know the process for attending? Was it straight forward.
Last years was June, so wonder if it will be around that time again. Just 3 months away.
Disappointed as came on here yet again for helpful info/ insight and it's one big squabble-fest.
The share price is shocking. We should find out one way or another soon whether we have truly lost. Why fight?
Seriously, I don't get it. All in the same boat for goodness sake - why waste precious time and energy?
The_Paladin, I wondered whether you got any kind of response to your email?
I have to admit, coming up to the 1 year anniversary is bringing back some PTSD. I will forever remember my spouse and I reading (and re-reading) that RNS in horror, both feeling like it was a terrible dream, and berating ourselves for foolishly over-committing.
I've not written off my loss as others have, and have tried to maintain a level-headed yet optimistic outlook regarding getting some /all of my investment back. I have averaged down considerably over the course of the last year, grappling with the idea of throwing good money after bad but being reassured by the data, and info from the AGM, recent recruitment etc.
In the biotech world, perhaps 1 year IS a short period of time given all that had to be done after not meeting the end points in the trial, as Tommmy helpfully pointed out.
But there will come a point whereby non-communication is absolutely a sign of there being nothing going on of any real significance.
For me this date is 20 March - one month's time, officially the start of Spring here in the UK. If by this time there is still nothing, after the clear expectation voiced by the CEO about dosing patients in Winter in the AGM, I will finally give up hope
Truly hope this isn't the case for us LTH here. Good luck to all.
Mr Costs, what more could they say aside from when a finalised agreement/trial is in place, we will be informed?
What actually would you expect. A weekly Tweet saying "still in conversations, can't confirm anything yet" Pointless.
Clearly there is something afoot and it's just a matter of time before news reaches shareholders in the form of an RNS.
There are many self-aggrandising companies and ceos out there who put spin on everything, mislead sharehholders and can't be trusted. The trial failed, yes - we're in unchartered medical territory, AIM stock is risky, but these guys aren't sponging or taking us all for a ride. Hey if I'm proven wrong then I will hold my hands up but I truly believe this will come good.
Take this hire as a chink of light without dropping all the negativity on it!!
Wholheartedly agree Paladin..
If members on here truly believe it does not work - why post? Spend your precious and limited time on this planet on more positive pursuits. Filtering the narcissistic types is the way to go to try and retain some helpfulness on here otherwise it becomes nothing but a toxic squabble-fest.
#Covidisntover is trending on Twitter alongside NHS is broken type tweets. People are dying in avoidable circumstances due to NHS overwhelm - estimates are it could be up to 500 a day according to one article, though it's difficult to accurately quantify.
The health crisis is ramping up to a point it will implode. Media are covering up - this should be front page everywhere. How is this not Manslaughter: chronic underfunding, mismanagement etc. Doctors shouting from the rooftops and weeping at work because they can't do their job yet radio silence from those in charge. Medics are on a knife edge, with fear of the GMC suspension for making mistakes. Where is the accountability for our government? Aware this is turning into a rant, but I can't comprehend what is happening right now. I hear it first hand each day and I am aghast.
It's clear Synairgen have a US focus because our healthcare system is not set up for innovation in the slightest. Huge change is afoot because it HAS to be. We are at a pivotal moment in history.
I'm pleased with the communications output by Synairgen and the frequency is increasing and sustained, I believe its a matter of weeks until substantial developments are revealed and a route forward is clear.
I’ve averaged down to £1 and in this for the long run.
Thanks Fruits
My interpretation sin't that they're jumping around - but the unprecedented environment in medical world due to Covid has lead them on a different path - one that has shown SNG as a possible broad spectrum anti-viral....
The hospitals are in crisis.
Most people I know have had a nasty bout of flu this year, rendering them in bed for days. Including my spouse - who is a medical doctor - and had to stay in bed, leaving the hospitals dangerously understaffed.
Those who are vulnerable are needing hospital beds....what IF SYN is not just the answer for Covid but a viable treatment for all respiratory conidtions that cause serve illness and death.
Covid isn't at the forefront, not in the UK anyway, but the near-collapse of the NHS is. And this is caused by the surge of flu-like viruses and overwhelm of hospitals.
I'm not wearing rose tinted specs, but I don't believe we're being led up the garden path here. There is a definite need for a solution in this current health crisis.
