I’m a relatively new investor and heavily all in with Synairgen.
I’m also a communications professional. Is it actually the case that RM should come out and explain? I mean, if there are no answers yet, only questions? Is there an example within AIM with a similar failed trial + the CEO coming straight out and giving interview?
They will have a crisis communications plan surely, in the event of this happening. And this was indeed a crisis…Brooke is no amateur in high risk pharmaceutical environments and I can’t see the board just ignoring her advice, or her suggesting something that doesn’t make sense, as is suggested.
Not defending RM or the company. I am deeply underwater myself and I was beyond livid and felt misled with the roles advertised etc. I’m just curious as to communications within this sector.
Searching everywhere for it - could someone be so kind as to signpost me to it please?
Mr Costs, would you mind relaying what you sent in the email please?
New investors, filter the OP Andybe4.
Your time on this forum will be immeasurably better without reading his bile. There are ways to give a balanced view on a stock without his level of toxicity and agenda.
Burstead, why are you on here? What's the point? You've lost a lot of cash and you hate Synairgen, so you come on here purely to trash it? Letting off some frustrations? I don't get it - why waste your time? Anyway, glad I found the filter button so do not need to see your nonsense anymore. Post away!

Sharedealer - Burstead is neither giver or receiver.
He is a sad little human who can't get laid at all. But likely owns a large collection of flashlights :)
Mr Costs, what about their communications hire - Brooke? She comes from the background you say RM should - she led comms for commercialisation of pharma products.
She will be advising on the right communication during this time, given what is happening behind the scenes.
We ALL want to know now. We want answers (and hope)
But for the business, it's likely been deemed less strategically beneficial for RM to talk.
You want an apology? A video of him repeating the info in the RNS? Will that help? They need to play things VERY carefully.
I lost a lot of money - not financially ruined but it's set me back a good few years...
This has taught me a great deal about investing, and life in general.
I, and most other medics I know who invested saw this as pretty much a slam dunk.
But NOTHING in life is certain. At the end of 2019 imagine someone telling you that an unknown deadly virus would rip through the world, we'd be locked down and then Russia would invade Ukraine while the world watches because he has the power to destroy the world.
My lesson is - anything can happen in this world right now.
The pandemic is ever-changing, who knows what will hit next, or how
I am sure the trial could have been designed better, but this was an unknown virus, there is so much even the most senior consultants in intensive care just don''t know about all this.
I'm not blindly worshipping this stock, or RM...but this is a volatile, ever-evolving situation that could have been prevented in the trial, but also perhaps not - I'm not an expert, and neither are we - we are just speculating and trying to grasp onto ideas so that we feel less adrift. Speculation and getting carried away with an idea certainly got me investing way too much than i should, so I'm inclined to add big pinches of salt to everything from now on :)
Good luck to all
Kevin, I'm sure you gave little attention to that idiotic poster on your thread. Some people are sick, and get off on this kind of thing it seems (sad little people who derive their self-worth from putting others down on an anonymous forum - pitiful)
I hope your wife recovers soon.
To share my experience, if this may help somewhat. I had breathing issues after being very unwell with Covid in the early days of the pandemic. It was long after I'd had Covid, so I guess Long Covid...
I was away from home (and the oxygen finger tester - technical name!) Ambulance was called out by a GP I spoke to after dialling 111. The ambulance took 6 HOURS! If concerned, and you posted here so it seems you are worried, better to check it out - you could get a chest x-ray whilst at the hospital too, for extra peace of mind.
Perspective from The Other Half :)
Husband is a Dr. Wildly enthusiastic about Synairgen since 2021. I learned about it through him. I did my research. I truly believed in the company, and invested 20k, as much as my spouse.
We both over committed, which was where we went wrong. Having both suffered devastating effects from Covid in the early days of the pandemic, perhaps we were emotionally tied to its success.
Now we are sad. Financially ruined? No.
Am I cross with him? No. I trusted him and his intentions for the family. On this occasion things didn’t work out. I’m so sorry for all of us here.
Yet wasn’t a naive punt. It was a carefully considered investment for most of us. We didn’t manage our risk. But that’s our fault. It seemed like a slam dunk.
Many of my husband’s medic friends invested, knowing the science and believing in it wholeheartedly.
Please reach out to your ‘other halves’ and I wish you peace and some recovery of your losses as we progress after the most devastating ‘early 2022’
Tony, thank you.
My grandfather had COPD. My spouse (a medic) and I had severe Covid at the start of the pandemic.
We invested WAY more than we should have done here.
Are we idiots? No. Neither are the rest of you who have lost well earned cash on this.
Everything pointed towards a successful outcome. I simply do not believe SNG intended to lead us up the garden path with this. They’ve been full of integrity throughout and I can only imagine how they are feeling right now.
The QUEEN knighted their founder for goodness sake.
How does everyone feel about a bounce back up?
I’m holding. I believe in this company.
Gggg, you are on fire! Thanks :)
That was my hope too. But then there’s the wording and sign off etc
Brilliant find
But with trial end date as 31 Jan, we won’t hear for another possible few weeks while that’s analysed and added into press release etc?
Gggg, you said last time trial details up, RNS next day? But that end date ?
Jwd…you’re a bot, surely!
Beardy show off had me spit out my tea. Thanks - in need of some laughter + light hearted ness right now :)
Ahaha, emailing them! The thought crossed my mind this morning, have to say.
(Instead I moaned to my spouse)
Mumbo you talk from your a***
JD76, great first post :) I agree with both statements.
In relation to the first, you’ve got to start somewhere. Research, intuition, carefully measured risk etc crucial….but sometimes , and with this stock, for me, I have taken a much riskier standpoint than I usually would. I just feel it in my bones that it will prosper, which is of course not how you’re supposed to make financial decisions.
But look at Thermanos! No published results and clever people parted with many billions
Here we have the extraordinary P2 results, a solid, rational board plus global recruitment …sometimes we must take a chance , fortune favours the brave and all that
